"nice car... whats the retail on one of those things?"
"more than you can afford pal, ferrari.." "smoke em.. " (cue: Saliva - Superstar) out: :sm_drool: In real life, a Supra that was modded like that one was suppose to be would have walked all over that Ferrari too. Yes the movie was craptacular but we havent had many car movies lately. Bad ones are better than none. e |

Although I can definately appreciate the qualities of a TT Supra having owned one, I'm not sure many around here will appreciate it in the same way..lol. I didn't like the movie that much at all, but if I had to pick the most memorable scene in the movie it would be the end scene between the supercharged wheel standing Dodge vs the RZ.

All of these 'movies' sucked... and they encourage ricer dickheads...
Good car movies include: -Bullitt -Mad Max (Of course!) -Duel -Blues Brothers (I almost bought a 74 Dodge Monaco once!) -Taxi (the French version, not the retarded American rip off) -The Italian Job (again, not the retarded American rip off) Actually there's heaps but The Blind and The Tasteless would not be one of them .

Well, that was one Supra that actually looked and went fast, although not the fastest Supra I've heard of.

The Taxi movies are probably the best driving movies ever made, cult French movies. The first was the best, second not bad and the third lost it a bit, but all just sensational movies. That 406 would be at the main Parisian Peugeot Dealership from memory, we too stopped to take photos!! I have all 3 on DVD.
My best Automotive scene of all time would be the first few seconds that the Dukes fire up the Charger just after the full rebuild in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. I deadset orgasmed...

Does anyone here remember Gumball Rally? it has Raul Julia (from the addams family movie) driving a red ferrari 265 gt daytona? against a blue 427 cobra from new york to long beach, california? Surely someone has seen it? anyone?!?!! It definately has to go down as one of the best car movies, especially the scene where they are racing through the river to longbeach, my god the sound of the cobra is good in the film, and that ferrari!, is something else.

Another great movie with an incredable car chase is "Ronan" with Robert De Niro, Jean Neno and Audi A8's doing some panel adjustment on sundry pugs, benzs and more.

pffft, EVERYONE knows that the best automotive scene in a movie was when Cole Trickle and that other guy hired a rental car and crashed into each other many a time in Days of thunder. :P

I remember the gumball rally. Especially the guys in the van who decided to fill the ENTIRE thing with fuel so they wouldn't have to stop. Too bad they leaked and caught fire and blew up.
That 427 was fat tho. Loved Ronin, even seeing the old merc smoke it up and take those hills with DeNiro out the top with his rocket launcher. It's a bit of a b grade movie, but Driven with stallone. They steal a couple of indy cars and race through chicago. A little unrealistic, but it's cool to see and emphasises how quick they are. Finally. Yes the General Lee rocks. It was interesting to fingd out that the driver for all the sideways action is actually the american drift racing champ who races a "ricer". He loved the charger tho. |

If you have dolby surround sound and watch that whole movie till the end, when 'Dominique' fires up the detroit muscle as he so aptly puts it, you realise just how crap sounding all the ricers are compared to a wheel standing V8.
And i presume the top comes off that supra? i remember they drove in it with the top off didnt they? |
