Both these cars are already featured elsewhere on this forum.
The GTP was recently featured & the XR8 has since been de-badged and de-spoilered & the owner will recognise along with many forum members. What I am looking for is an opinion of what looks "TOUGH" For me, the XR8 as pictured, badges, spoiler and QUAD PIPES is TOUGH. Have never liked the large 3 leg spoiler on he GT, What do other think? GTP or XR8? |

The GT-P without the ironing board wing looks so much more refined than the XR8

Brad - looks mad. Luv the look & thanks for the pix. Then the one I attached is your car? I found some time ago, Who did the work for you? I have seen different results but this looks the package. The pipes are almost touching with FA gap between them. This is what I am looking for..

Hi Norm
Yes that photo ( the one in your post ) was taken about 8 months ago....they were 3" pipes with a rolled tip but I then found the 3 1/2 " ones and it just filled the gap nicely. I will be cleaning the car shortly....I will post up a photo of them cleaned and polished. The exhaust is a full DiFillipo system ( dual 3") but the tips were put on by D&T in Adelaide......not quite sure who made the tips. Can find out and will let you know. Cheers Brad

I prefer the BF GT exhaust pipes as it reminds me of the pipes fitted to the XA and XB GTs.

the GT for me,it looks the part of a sports car and has menance, the XR8 looks like a mild mannered every day drive with quads.De badge the XR and if you come up behind it you may mistake it for a XT,the XR ba range is not diff enough to base model imo, with the body kit on the BF it may be a little bit better,Ford should have stayed with the more distintive?spelling, head lights of previous yrs.

Hmm I like the XR8 quads betterover the GTs outlets but like the GT's bodykit over the XR8. So put those quad round exhausts on the GT!

I have to say the XR does the subtle but tough thing better, especially debadged, but then I might be biased. As for the front, the BA has the toughest front of all the XR's, especially the 8. If you can't tell the difference between an XR and XT there is something wrong with you, IMO

I like the quads, have them myself (see below), but I prefer the look of the BF GT-P.

Quad pipes like Brad's are the business. I'd love to see how they'd go on the BF series though.

BF tail lights are better than the BA : i love the GT wing... got one on my old mans XR8... but i prefer the quads on the XR8/BA GT than the twins on the BF....
something about the BF makes it look taller and less squat than the XR. the more squat, the better.
