Default SS Fender Vents.. too far?

Hay guys I was wondering if these would fit on an AUII Falcon,

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....978199833&rd=1

If they did would it be pushing the rice to the extreme too much?

It would be on a white au and Id have a set of mags and body kit first of course. What do you think?

I havent got a decent pic of my car but it has no bodykit/wheels anyway. I posted up a pic of xcoppas car because it would look the same as his. So if you can put them on that would be interesting to see how they look.

I think the fender vents might be pushing the ford and holden frendship abit far though.

Holden has our stickers and buldges. I thought it might of looked ok, I was thinking you could do your own ones but more trouble then its worth. Its just not a mod you can try... hacking fenders and all. I didnt like the small au indicator and though a chrome strip with a different style indicator might of looked ok... but as you said I think it would be too noticable.

Its not a bad bit of kit but imho the chrome strip will clash with the Falcon door moulds..

THe reason the chrome looks the goods on the Commodore is they don't have door mould/bump strips like the AU does....

I don't mind them, I think they look great on the SS's, I personally would not put them on my Falcon but I don't agree with the attitude that is "they come out on a Holden therefore they belong on a Holden" some people are so single minded, so what if there are Holden's out there with a bulge, Ford was not the 1st to introduce a bulge, and therefore Holden was not the 1st to introduce side air vent's, I mean really, just as an example, they now make XY GT tear drop mirror's,(replica's) and how many vehicle's do we see with these type of mirror's on, why because they look good.

I hate the vents on the Commodores so on a Falcon would be plain stupid IMO.

Yeah its more of a concern of how it would mold to the body then anything else. I think I would try it. It would look ok on white as it wouldnt stand out too much I dont think. A while au with black tail lights, black head lights and black fender things I thought would look good. I think by the time im done with the au it will be an abomination. I even thinking gold wheels ehhh whats happening to me!

I think it would look good, it's your car so if you think it would look good then do it, Originality is key in building a good car.
I personally don't see why you can't like both holdens and fords i think people need to grow up, they are very similar, there are fords i don't like and there are holdens i don't like.
I think the vents would looks good, but i don't think the holdens one's are the best out there, there are heaps of cars with better side vents that would look good on an AU.

I recon it would certainly look different. Good idea to use a 2nd hand guard to check if it looks good or not.

The do serve no purpose on the holdens as they are sealed, which i take it those are the same.

Like everyone has said, whatever floats your boat.......... and i would be very interested to see the results. You maybe on a winner

I think you convinced me, ill pickup some secondhand guards give it ago... if it sucks just throw the guards and sell the vents wouldnt be much out of pocket.

Can anyone photoshop it.. just trying to get a general idea of where to place them.

I've seen an AU ute (black) and a BA ute (silver) here in Canberra with it done, looks pretty ordinary imo, evrytime I see those cars I can't help but think of a confused tranny, just doesn't seem right not knowing what you are.
