Nah, not a purvis, not even close.

Some better pics and more clues would help.

Where's the beer?

I clicked this thread really fast hoping that all the free beer wasn't gone. Only to see there was never any free beer to begin with.

The lights and bonnet location look very similar to a Ford GT. The dip in the bonnet is non existant though which probably lends itself to a front engine. The Eureka's lights don't go off the side like the GT so you can rule them out.

My tip, a poor GT knockoff.

It is hard to tell without a longer shot but it looks very like a relatively obscure UK kit car called a Sillouhette - 12 were built around 1970. The Silouhette was based on a VW floorplan so check if yours is. There was also a gullwing version called the Zagaroff.

....and not to be confused with a much better car the Lamborghini Silouhette,

Could it be the obscure VD Commodore?

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.
