Hi guys. im new here so hello. i will be hanging around this great forum a bit from now on as i am restoring a 1980 escort van
 Im debating how to repair / replace the scratched door glass. ive seen new door glass is available for the sedan but nothing for the van. i dont suppose the glass is the same ? help appreciated ps. anyone had luck removing the scratches by polishing or other methods ? cheers |

IIRC the MK2 Escort van doors are still essentially MK1 Escort.
Any Escort gurus out there? |

.... and the MK2 van front guards are unique to the van !!! Bridge the gap between shared Mk2 grille/headlights and Mk1 doors.

The Mk2 van dash and dash pad are narrower than the sedan.

The steel part of the dash and top is different, as far as I know the rest is ok. I got caught buying the timber trim from a Mk2 sedan.

I thought Ford were really clever at reusing parts across as many vehicles as possible so as to reduce stocking and production costs. Sounds like the Mk2 vans are somewhat 'special' and 'individual'.

Hi anyone know if it 100% mk1 2 door coupe glass trying to get sum for my mk11 van only seller can find has mk1 van glass same as sedan anyone know if its the 2 door glass that fits or sedan
