Hard to choose between Sensible Party, Silly Party, Slightly Silly Party and Very Silly Party. Still making my mind up, when do polls close?

Ugh. This is nowhere near funny for Americans currently. This must be the worst potential slate in our history.

It hurts because it is too close to the truth.

I voted below the line. The options were certainly eyebrow-raising!

Quimby
Because he is the embodiment of our political system (All lies and bull**it to feather their pockets/ego of said idiot) A vote for Quimby is a "Donkey vote" (With such a lack of TRUE options its no wonder there isnt a clear leader/winner ) (edited to make it clear, this is in no way a political comment, nor an opinion of the poster, voting is compulsory, too bad that listening is not reqd when in politics ....... My vote is for Kang, by virtue that Quimby sold my vote out to Kang in preferences )

My only statement is, I'm tired if people who either donky or get their names signed off and don't vote, or even cop the fine or aren't even registered. I don't like hearing about your complaint about something you have no say in..

The senate paper in NSW was big enough to wrap up a leg of lamb, but you still only needed to be able to count to six to fill it out

But, it does count, for something, Peter Garret thought he could effect change, he got a pineapple I voted for Kang ( by default due to Quimby's prefferences) yet he is polling last When will we see a result that will benefit the common V8 driving hoon (or average aussie) .....................

Saw an interesting article about voting and voters today , apparently quite a number of ballot forms submitted had some sort of lone secret parliament member sketched on the Ballot .
The members identification was drawn in the shape of a male appendage and organs ? could the secret members name be richard ? |

I vote for pedro.
Back when I used to count votes at the local election the most popular thing to do on ballot papers that didn't bother following instructions were drawing penises all over the ballot paper. Young people either don't care or will vote for a party with an enticing name e.g. 'Sex Party' and you wonder why the politicians who do give a crap about young people just give up. On the other hand these pollies say one thing and do something else.

A friend of mine voted for 'Raphone, Mike'. He had a picture of his ballot paper to prove it.

Not really
Kang "says" he will improve Roads, Hospitals & education (whilst slipping in the privatization of Mediware) Kodus "says" he will boost employment, give tax cuts & reduce his overall spending (whilst cutting you hair fringe -benefit-, Capital and Investment Option Notice -or COIN- & INCREASE Gross Set Term -gst-) Quimby is selling his preferences to either Kang or Kodus (whom ever pays/promises the most) So I can understand why young people "don't" see the point in Voting......... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (edit: you do understand that the whole thread is a pi** take on the fact that voting for a third party is a "wasted vote" by virtue that it gets auctioned off to one of the two major parties ) And under our political system being a "two party preferred system" that each uses an election to slip things thru as "the public voted for it", even though NO ONE really LIKES THE CHOICE OF EITHER PARTY................. )
