Smile Wireless heaphones/earbuds for exercise?

Hope there are some options out there.

I recently joined a gym and use my iphone and corded earbuds to listen to music while I work out, but the cord keeps getting caught and ****ing me off.

What options are out there that are of reasonable quality and not going to cost me a small countries revenue to purchase?

Cheers guys.

Should've read it first.
There's a few out there - just depends on how you like the sound quality.
Jaybird Bluebuds X, I've heard good reviews but they're a bit $$$$
There's a few Bose examples in JB or even these? https://www.jbhifi.com.au/headphones...-black/588070/

I'm in a similar position, use the Apple headphones at the gym and on the bike but would like wireless.
I really like these. I've had a little bit of experience with using this type of tech and it's weird at first, but then becomes natural.

Guys with wireless earbuds, how do they go with security in your ear after a while when you're sweaty? Much movement or are they still secure?

The one I had was an Audiotechnica sport one (the corded ones) - it had a clips behind the ear. It stayed in place, but then again, all I wasn't running around that much.

Might get a bit of hate for this but the wireless powerbeats looks pretty good. Wireless and it looks sturdy.

I have looked at the wireless Beats series and whilst they do look the goods I was hoping to not have to fork out that much coin.

Might be good to invest in some earbuds that are waterproof, cos have heard of the wireless ones getting sweat in them for the hardcore runners that destroy the electricals inside..

Another option is run the cable inside your shirt, that's what I do at the gym and it eliminates the ability for the cable to catch on anything.

I've tried that but the cord keeps getting caught on my shirt and pulling at the buds. Very annoying. I'd much rather have something cordless that doesn't pull at all in any position/direction.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

Please keep them coming.

I constantly need to replace headphone just because the cord catches on one thing or another and the wires break inside.

So I am need of some new ones. Good quality but no so expesive to replace if I damage or loose them.

I'd be looking for something that hooks over the ears, or has those little offshoots on the buds that help hold it into your ear better (like the Bose sports earphones).

If you're wearing earphones it's probably because you want to block out the awful music they play in the gym, and a lot of sports earphones are designed to let in ambient noise so you don't run in front of cars you don't hear. While you probably won't need active noise cancelling, it works best with constant noises like plane engines, some good passive cancelling, or buds that block up your ear really well, would be a good option. That way you don't have to have the volume as high, and you do yourself less hearing damage.

There are headsets for swimmers, which should block a decent amount of noise and stay in pretty well, but they have the mp3 player attached rather than streaming through bluetooth.

I've got some of these:

Only complaint is the volume doesn't max out as much as I like. Iam looking for better options as well.

Whilst these aren't wireless they are the best out there, comfortable, long battery life and brilliant noise cancelling which lets you reduce the volume and hear the music better.

http://www.mwave.com.au/product/audi...-jsaApB48P8HAQ

They surpass my Sennheiser PXC450's by a long shot at 1/8th the price.

I have a set of Philips noise cancelling corded earbuds. They are awesome as well, but I definitely want something wireless for the gym.

I wear mine with the cable inside my shirt without any issues. Ive broken at least 3 pairs though by bending down with the ear pieces dangling over my shirt whilts sliding more plates on to the olympic bar and getting caught being plates.

Well, I bit the bullet on the Jabra Rox Bluetooth wireless headset.

Ordered through www.mobileciti.com.au

Price difference between the local JB Hifi and the place I ordered was more than $50 so the mail order was the better deal.

Will report back in a couple of weeks after I receive them and have a chance to give them a run.

Can't complain too much for $115 delivered.

I have these. Bought them 8 months ago. Wear em round the office , for exercising and bike riding. Full charge gives you 4 hours of music , they don't fall out of your ears no matter what you do and the sound quality is decent. They come with different rubber cups so you can mix and match to fit your ear opening size etc. so far they have also proven to resist a lot of sweat as well so they will be on my list again should they break or I lose em. And for the price they are excellent.

I've been looking round lately for something wireless for the gym but preferably with built in usb.
Most wireless seem to be Bluetooth and still require you to wear your phone or whatever.

I have a shuffle now and run the cord under my t shirt, haven't had too many issues but a set of wireless buds with music I can load in without then needing a second device or Bluetooth set up where the phone can call etc interrupting me would be spot on imo

Out of curiosity when at the gym or running or cycling even mowing the lawns where does everyone keep their phone?

I reckon carrying a small iPod shuffle clipped on my shorts with a cord headphone bud unit is easier than carrying a phone even if no wires are to the headphone

Or am I missing something...

yeah cool. got it.
i find the weight of the phone a hassle and the lighter ipod shuffle clipped on my hip with the cord inside my shirt pretty convenient.

would love a headset like yours but with build int usb so i could just plug it in and drag music from my itunes into that system.
No bluetooth, no cords etc. THAT would be the ultimate.

one of those purse things with a strap and push in clip are pretty good , i use it on my bike runs , and i power the bt speaker on the cycle, works like a ripper, plus keep spare coin /keys etc , some are better than others though, i found, a bit of trial and error in stores is needed , rebel sport has a good variety from memory, i wear mine around the gut, but sometimes wear it like an ammo belt across the shoulder, may not suit running , but good for cycling and walking imo.
if i have found one fault with them , that is the belt clip adjustment on many of them work loose after a bit of bouncing around, so a bit of creative stapling and pvc tape seems to work wonders .
