This is just a scenario my mind wandered across while I was doing some mind-numbingly boring tasks at work
You get a phone call from Donald Trump, he tells you that he's sponsoring you to drive any car you want around Bathurst! Parameters: - You have a maximum of 161 laps (with 2 warm up laps). - You can choose absolutely any vehicle ever made, including custom modified cars, prototypes, motorcycles and one-off models. - You can choose whether you have competition or not and who that competition is. - The pit-lane is active and teamed by a professional pit-crew, so you can actually make it into a timed event. - Donald Trump will pay for any repairs necessary if you crash during the event but you will be forced to pay him back by becoming his barber. Originally I had decided on Dick Johnson's 1981 Bathurst winning Tru-Blu XD Falcon but then I changed my mind and chose the 1971 race winner - Allan Moffat's GTHO Phase 3. I probably wouldn't attempt a competitive race but it would be nice to try a couple of timed-laps just for fun... although I would be wary of pushing it too hard in fear of the final parameter. What would you choose? |

I would pick an awesome Tesla S85 (a number of people here says it's the most awesome car ever). So anyway, the S85 would probably do 10 laps at full power and then need a recharge, let's see 161 laps using a normal recharger would take approx 128 hours, but if Mr Musk were good enough to put a Supercharger recharger in pit lane then the 161 lap time would dramatically be reduced to approx 40 hours.
