Default Fpv Gs Brake Upgrade?

Hi,

I have an 09 FPV GS with standard brakes all round. I am getting huge issues with brake squeek, every single time i brake. Any idea on how to resolve this?

Also,

I wouldnt mind upgrading the rotors - what is a good package all round that would be within say $500-$600, if there are any in that price range?

Or if i spent a bit more could i actually increase the size of the rotors from standard and keep the same caliper?

you help is appreciated.

Cheers

The FPV GS came with the V8 from memory so this would mean you have the larger 322mm front disc but the solid rear 303mm disc.Front and rear DBA4000 slotted rotors are $760 all round but there are no rotor upgrades i am aware of that uses your existing caliper. The next upgrade for the GS would be brembo front brakes which are 6 piston 355mm rotors at $2150 so it is a bit of an increase there.Unfortunatly the squeak seems to be normal for the fords and apart from anti-squeal on the back of the pads there is no 100% cure.

thanks for that info

Does that mean i would have to upgrade my calipers as well?

Also my current brakes are same as XR8, not Brembo.

Thanks

The 4000 series slotted rotors i quoted you are the same as a XR8 so they are a direct replacement with no calipers needed thanks. The Brembo quote was to give you an idea on what a upgrade would cost.Anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.
