Hi I'm looking at upgrading the brakes on my AUIII
From what I have read RDA slotted and QFM pads are a good combo? I don't do any track days or really push the brakes to the limit, but I probbably am harder on them than an 'average' person. Would the above combination be good, or is it a bit overkill for my situation? I would prefer a pad that isn't too dusty, but I know if I want the performance I'm going to get some dust. Also how much would it cost me for RDA slotted front and rear, QFM pads and postage to 3337? Or is there another combination you would suggest? Cheers Adam |

Hi Adam, I have this same combination you are asking for and have found is it very good for stopping power. The QFM pads are excellent, but do get dusty. I think that will be the trade off for brake bite and better stopping performance. I also run braided lines and Dot 5 fluid and find this to be an excellent combined with the rotors and pads for frequent spirited hills runs and lack of brake fade. A substantial increase in stopping power over stock. Im sure Matt will assist you with what you need. But for bang for buck this combination is very good.

Thanks for that! Just a quick one, which part number are the QFM pads you reccomend? Are they the K500 pads?

Matt,
On the topic of QFM pads, are you able to supply A1RMs to suit an AU II Falcon? I've heard from other places that they may need to be special ordered for this model?? Thanks, Matt |

Any chance you can tell me whether A1RMs are in fact in stock, or how long they would take to order in if I place an order now, and how much they would cost?
Failing this how do the Ferodos compare to the A1RMs? Ive got the A1RMs as being good for ~750 degrees and having a friction coefficient of 0.40 cold and 0.48 hot... Thanks again, Matt |

Thanks Matt, will probably order some of these off you when they arrive. Also, I may be chasing some custom front brake hoses since I'm in the process of putting mustang rotors on my AU2, and the brackets I'm using necessitate longer hoses. Is it possible for you to supply some regular old rubber lines that are about 100 mm longer than standard if I pay for them in advance? And if so how much would they be likely to cost? Thanks again, Matt
