Default Tropical cyclone Ului

For the people that might be in its path keep us informed on how the weather is up there.

Am up in townsville and aside from clouds and a bit of rain here and there its the norm, am anticipating a rough weekend tho from past cyclones they seem to hit north of where they say it will,(eg. Larry was meant to hit us and got Innesfail) from the website it says its likely to hit around bowen. am making arrangements to hide my EB from the weather
the biggest drama i see is that everywhere inland is recovering from the floods and are gunna cop it again

It seems to have dissipated a little in the last half day or so, the next 24 hrs should see how it will go though, it's getting pushed NW from the south by colder winds which could weaken it but it's also sucking in tropical storms from New Guinea which could intensify it.

One of my blokes leaves for Airlie Beach tomorrow morning to see his sister for a week, gonna be a great holiday for him lol

Better website for tracking.

I'm up in Cairns, bit blowy here this morning, but definatly not cyclonic.

Just see what happens this weekend. They are far too hard to predict if you ask me.

Good luck to any one who may be affected.
Personally I have been waiting many weeks now to put my shed up so I am hoping for a cyclone free weekend. If it comes, my delayed shed erection will not be an issue, hope everyone gets through it unscathed

Fairly windy here in Rocky at times but nothin major. Just blowing around rags, emery paper and parts in the shed which make it hard working on the brakes. lol. All the best to the guys in the area up north.
Really hope it goes down to a 1 or rain depresion before ithits anyone.

The wind is really starting to pick up here in Mackay.Ului has gone category 3 and expected to hit Proserpine which is about an hour north but it still puts us in the 170kmh wind rage. We've cleaned up,tied down and stowed away everything we can but it does'nt stop the have i missed anything thoughts. Its supposed to hit sometime between 1 and 3am.I hope everyone around Prosey is going to be ok.

i think people are genuinely getting smarter when it comes to these natural occurrences , was at bunnings and other stores today and there was no hysteria or mad rushes ...and all the caravans have headed west ,so with a bit of luck its just a big wind and a bit of rain ...one would hope .worst part i have is hiding all my cars ,hope all the neighbours have done a good clean up dont want any missiles in the driveway ...will all unfold tonight fingers crossed .

Cousin's place lost power in mackay a few mins ago, high winds there. Judging by the latest radar the eye has turned SW and is heading lower than Prossy now, perhaps between there and Mackay. Hamilton Island seems to be copping it, it's near the edge of the eye
