Default Fairmont Interior Lights

When working on my EF fairmont the other day i was replacing the side mirror and needed to have the door open to get at it, but with the door open the interior lights were on, i searched for a button to turn them off but couldn't find one. Can someone please tell me how you can have the doors open and the interior lights off in a Fairmont, or possible what fuse to pull so it will kill the light. Cheers

Hmmmmmm never tried to do it before.......

But fuses are under the drivers steering wheel just above the hood popper, just pull each fuse out until the lights go out, it may even been named..........

Thats all I can advise, maybe some one else knows.

When you open the door you'll see a black button that pushes in when you close the door and releases out when you open the door. It's near the hinges.

Easiest way, pull the fuse.
Can remember what but something else uses the same fuse. Car won't start or something like that.
Just can't remember if it's on the EB or AU.

If you have the ignition off and a door open the lights will go out in one hour. Its a battery save feature.
