Default Summer Nats USA

Hi all,
I'm currently in Minneapolis USA and have spent the last two days at the Car Craft SummerNats which is on each July at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds.

If you're into muscle cars ... this is the place to be. There were 5,000 muscle cars as well as custom bikes and accessories. It was so mind boggling I didn't know which way to look. I've taken lots of pics and video, but unfortunately I can't post them up till I get back to OZ late August.

There is an even bigger show here in June each year called "Back to the Fifties" which is for cars and rods from 1964 and down ... this show attracts 12,000 + cars!!

Amen to that.

I remember Mark Arblaster (from street machine) went to the states with a Valiant Charger, went to a few car shows as well as 100th anniversary Ford celebrations, travel across the States in a Val while turning peoples heads everywhere.

Would love to that one day. Savour the moment.

Back now.

I've got over 300 pics which I downloaded to my PC today. All the pics are around 800 + mb. What size and/or what method do I use to post good pics for everyone's enjoyment?

There were more Mopars and Chevvies than Mustangs. The Mopars were out of this world ... Cudas, Super B's, GTX's in unbelievable numbers in "Show" condition.

Use photobucket you dont even have to resize them as it has a bulk uploader and it will resize all the pics for you BUT i think it has a limit to how many you can upload at a time so you may have to do it on a few goes

if you have not go an account you will have to make one up

I uploaded two as a trial, but it took some time for Photobucket to upload them, so it would take a very long time to upload a couple of hundred.

Anyway here goes for the first two ... I hope!

Yeah they worked perfect, did you use "bulk uploader"?

Sometiimes "bulk uploader" takes a while to initiate but after it has gone through that process and you select 50 pics or so to upload it has to process, resize and save so it will take a while. Just start it and leave it..........

is much easier that you having to resize them - whats the avergae size of each pic?

Look at the guy right in the in the middle of the pic. He ain't watching her face like all the others ;)
He's right at the pinnacle of attraction!

I want that video!

Sorry for the delay, I had to meet some people for lunch.
All my pics are 800 - 850 kb, using a Sony DSC T300 that I bought new in USA for $350.

I didn't use "bulk uploader" for those two, but I'll take your advice and start it now and leave it to do it's thing. When it's done, do you think I should start a new thread titled "USA Summer Nats pics. #2"?

Pedro, an easy way to resize the pics is using Windows Explorer, select the files and use the "Email the selected items" tool (or File -> Send To -> Mail Recipient), this will bring up an option box allowing you to reduce the size of the photos, then when the email window opens save the attached small pictures and upload them. This gives 640x480 pixel size and normally 60-80kb file size max.

It will be awesome to see the pics. One thing I noticed on the website you posted earlier, the static burnouts between to concrete barriers is a bit poxy compared to the Australian Summernats version!

OK, I've uploaded the first 60 pics to Photobucket, but I see that my first two pics in post #17 have been deleted. I'm not going to waste hours posting the rest up if they're only going to be deleted.
What's going on??

C'mon guys, does anyine know why the two photos in my post #17 disappeared?

In the meantime the GT350 in this link was at the Volo Shelby/Mopar display in Illinois that I attended, and I actually drove it a short distance with Patrick, the guy in the vid. It is the best Mustang I've seen and I would buy it if I had the money. He said the owner would probably take $125,000 if I screwed hard enough.

Well they're not on my screen on your post either. There's just a one inch square for each of them saying they're deleted.
