Just watching channel 9 and saw the Pope being driven around sydney for a public showing in his Pope Mobil. The vehicles in his convoy include a few White Ford Territory Turbos loaded with people and a few motorbikes.
Funny stuff :

Turn onto SBS and you can watch the whole thing. There are 2 behind and 1 or 2 in front of the Pope Mobile.
Good show off for Ford.

maybe the pope will get run over by the territories so the new ford ad can have "new ford territory, now with free bullbar for any little accidents that get in your way".....maybe

I personally saw the motorcade yesterday morning outside work in North Sydney, after he visited a church nearby...
He was in the back of the first white Turbo Territory, and they drivers weren't afraid of WOT

NSW Police is full of Fords ,and it's been that way for a while . in true NSW govt way unfortunately its all about price driven decisions so not a whole lot to crow about on giving cars away to NSW bureaucrats . |

The TT's belong to the APS not NSW Police. They also use em when Kevin hits the road.

Was watching this on TV. And as they were following the motorcade the guy in the hellicopter mentioned at how there were a dozen Ford Territories in the line up. Then I had to cringe when Larry Emdure said "I can see it now, bumper stickers saying 'God rides in a Ford'"
When actually as mentioned the Pope was in a Statesman.. an older one. At least the others were in the fords. But yes it was a sight. The all white Territories were pretty cool (Bit of International coverage too) with the extra wide side steps so the body guards could stand on them safely whilst the car was moving. And that pic of the Pope in the ute made me have a really good laugh. But why was he not in the back of a Ford ute?

^^ yeh I was a bit confused by that. The pope mobile was a Merc aye?
In that picture posted by Wally there is short person in the background with his hood on - a pilgrim? young priest? YODA???? It would be good to see some flags photoshopped in the background too.
