What about the starving kids about to be some vultures dinner, what about the man in the trench about to be shot, what about the baby holding a picture of a father she will never know.

With attitudes like yours I can see why the world is in such a mess. These people "sign up" to protect people like you.

Perhaps a little simplistic AU2PWR, the military, in any capacity is not a job as much as a lifelong commitment to fight the good fight. Sadly, fighting has consequences and I'm more than thankful for all those who do and have done our bidding on foreign shores.

There's nothing "meh" about war.

Very poignant, at least some people have the guts to stand up when tyranny rears it's ugly head.
As they said in the movie TROY, if the Kings fought each other there'd be no wars where millions of lives are lost.
Somehow if George W and Osama had to duke it out we'd all be down the mosque every day.

Yeah I got that. I look at footage like that and I don't consider that I am small, more that we all are small. It's hard to comprehend the significance of anything that happens in the world when you think on a grander scale.

some pretty graphic images there...
it shows another side of life i dont often think about.

yes i agree, people in the military do sign up to serve and protect, but it doesn't mean they deserve to die. (i know you wern't saying that by the way AU2PWR)

very sad images there, good wake up call for people living in a dream world i think though.
