Here's some other things, apart from the freebies, that made me feel good:
This happened 7 mins after dealing with the happy / grumpy pr ick delivery. Sucks to be HIM. Was 'blasting' up Magil rd in the morning, heading for Ashton... as ya do in a 14T truck at 45kmp/h and had to give way to this old mate that was crossing the road.. Seen my fair share at night, but this was a 1st for me in the daylight hours.. Me thinks he was heading home after getting an empty Next was my first lady bird for the year. Wasn't the killa nice bright red ones I get to see rarely, but happy all the same the he / she shared my company while waiting at an intersection up in the hills. Perfect! I sure hope today (Wednesday) has a few more good things to share. Happy Wednesday! guys / Gurls. Cheers, One Mad Man

Surprised you don't see koalas in daylight hours.
See them quite regularly, and often crossing the road. But not fast like your vid - no, the ones I see take all the time they have in the world. And I'll happily stop the car and watch him. |

Seems like I spoke to soon. Nearly became unemployed today. Had 3 different people push my buttons in the worst ways. It was like picking at a scab... pick pick pick. Then the last one Been really happy for the past few weeks. But today, really was just a day, in the worst possible way. 2 prior deliveries that are to long to mention started the my internal time bomb ticking, the last altercation coming from a complete maggot at work. A total smartarse that's had it coming from everyone at work for a LONG time. Today was my turn to take a poke at him. I went toe to toe with him... just waiting for him to open his gob again so I could close it, in the most violent way possible. To finish it off, after wanting to split old mates head open, boss tells me: "I have a pr ick of a job for you, Sorry." Hmm, how hard can it be, right? That's what I get paid to do. Work, and enjoy doing it. He usually looks after me, as I do him (work wise). He says to me: "you've got an electric pallet jack on the truck yeah?" "Yes". He says "I have a tailgate delivery of 12 pallets to a residential address that's an absolutely (please insert your own nasty words here) job." Hmm, sounds like a challenge. I'm up for that, might get a chance to relieve some of my aggro. This is how it turned out... 2 hours and 3 parking attempts later... Yeah yeah, it would have taken 1 hour and 55mins without the pics. The Job site: Tried unloading on the street, pallet jack wouldn't shift the 900Kg pallet up the incline in the back of the truck... So... turned the truck around so it's facing up hill. Now the pallet jack won't get over the spoon drain... I had to Mcgyver a fix: I put 2 pieces of wood under the front legs of the pallet jack to give it another 20mm clearance, to clear the spoon drain. Tick! That worked... BUT, the pallet jack had around 58% charge when I started. The gradient of the driveway would drain it before the job was even half done... So the saga continued.. Reversed into the driveway to level the truck out a bit and bypass the spoon drain: No go. Still to steep for the pallet jack to move the pallet. Moved the truck down the driveway to level the truck even more by blocking the street. (no pic) Luckily for me it was a super quiet thorough fare type scenario. Meaning, if it was blocked, it was no biggie to go around the block. The final destination for the 4 heaviest pallets: - in the shed next to the customer - Mental note to self: I really should be careful what I wish for. One Angry Man - Today anyway.

Betty the Magpie, sister wife & hubby, have 2 off-spring! Watched their 1st "flights" yesterday ........... appear to be in training today, with all 5 chasing off Cockatoo's.
The gang haven't been back for food hand outs, since the season before last. Looking good! |
