Looks cheap, very Asian & would play the entirely wrong soundtrack.
Probably goes better, drives better and uses less fuel than a Mustang.Who wouldn’t buy one

LOL at all the people who thought this was going to be cheap.
Yeah but have a look at the market in general, its inline with the other nonsense going on.

Z vs Supra vs Mustang is going to be a a great youtube vid. Id take one of each if I could.

Which is why it was never going to be 60k like people assumed.

I reckon this would be a good option against the 4 cylinder Mustang,

I like the 4 cylinder Mustang but if the 400Z is around the same price then the 400Z wins out for me.

The V8 Mustang has 8 cylinders so regardless how good the competitors are they don't have 8 cylinders so you won't get that buyer who loves the traditional muscle car which I feel would be the majority of Mustang owners.

That was 2 years ago and we have been in market turmoil since, who cares what the price is or isnt its all in the same segment with the other two.

Its a minor miracle the car even went ahead.

While I love that a new Z exists, I still don't love the styling. I don't like the way the curvy organic shapes clash against squared shaped grill opening and rear lights.

Between the two, I like straight 6's better than V6's so would lean towards the Supra. At the same price as both, I would rather have that glorious Coyote.

Since when is 12.8 slow? Of course the yanks are looking at 1/4 mile...not exactly what the car is built for. Id await other assessments that look at the bigger picture.

Yeah it did,but the narrator said if they bypassed the traction control or whatever he called it,then the Nissan was right with the Mustang. We can also presume the Nissan has a higher all round safety rating than the Yank

12.8 for the Manual, 12.3 for the Auto. Definitely not slow. And if the factory fit tyres are that bad, 12 Flat should be achievable with something stickier than the Bridgestones

The Z is the cheapest of all of those but think it does alright. Not a fail for me.

Gotta love the Mustang for looks, power and sound though. Also love a 300ZX with Nismo N1 turbo upgrades

Toyota GR Supra vs Nissan Z

I think I still prefer the Supra, mainly for the inline 6.

What I find interesting is that both Ford and Nissan have unleaded 3L TT V6 engines in current models (Ranger Raptor and 400Z), yet Ford's makes about 100nm more torque for the same displacement.

Makes me wonder if its a limitation of the gearbox/diff in the 400Z.

Probably that and leaving some room to improve. It a not a huge car. Reports say it’s really fast as is and way faster than the previous and ancient 370z.
