Any car of that era would have felt like a barge compared today models, I found the one my brother owned handled alright for what it was at the time, nice car to drive, not much different to the Ford GT's of that era.

It's fun watching the older races and seeing them wallowing around, big set of ghoulies doing what they did!

Different times!

ZC Fairlane 351 with factory 4 speed went for 26k. Is it me or is that low for such a rare Fairlane. Car did have a Victorian police VIN number, don't know the story behind it.

Who's to say it's a factory 4 speed though? With a GT badge on the bootlid and Superoo stripes down the sides I'd doubt it. Unless those numbers and letters on the build plate tell us something?

EDIT: Just had a look at those numbers and yeah, they do support the factory 4 speed theory. Interesting car!

ZC had 4 sp as an option, 351 was also the 4V in the ZC.

I agree with trublu as far as handling goes they were a product of their times and as far as Australian products go they were as good as it got. Maybe I was younger then so it didn't bother me as much now after 20 odd years of driving newer cars i would go out and explore the outer limits of handling in my 67.
