Default Sat/nav/dvd

Hi i have a ba gt with sat/nav and a dvd can the roof mounted dvd be hooked up too the front screen and through the sound system or would i need to buy more headphones and there is no sound when using the sat nav in voice mode is this a fault or has it been incorrectly hooked up Cheers

Hi

it is possible, depending on ur dvd player in the roof, as long it has an extra output (video/ntsc). If you have the Rex unit from ford well it dosen't have the capibility. Regarding the noise, depending who fitted could be anything, engine noise wrong/loose connection.

the noise is not coming from the sat nav the is no voice instructions is what i meant sorry for the confusion

I assume its factory its a vdo ayton any help it was order with the car

If it is factory and the volume for the navigation has been turned up and you are getting no sound then I assume it would be a fault with the Navigation, although it could be the wiring in the car. The Aux has nothing to do with factory navigation. Best to return it to your dealer.
