It's sad really that Masters is closing, it was good having a 'choice' but its tough setting up next door to bunnings and trying to compete. They should have learned from Magnet Mart who tried the same thing in the exact same building years ago. I tried my best to support Masters but for me personally 9 times out of 10 I bought at Bunnings because what I was buying always seemed to have better options at Bunnings. Not to mention a more ideal location, but i've given them a good couple of thousand since they've been there.

As for Kogan, I've used them a few times to purchase new iPhones. You save hundreds of dollars over local stores. They sell overseas phones, yes, but those compatible with the Australian network. You do hear stories of overseas phones possibly having poor service on our network but I've never experienced that, even side by side with an Aus delivered model.

Have kogan lifted their game in regards to warranty issues?

Got a phone from them a few years ago and the process for a warranty claim was a joke.

There not too flash answering enquires about new purchases either, took them a week and two emails from me to answer a simple query about the installation of a new portable air conditioner that I had just bought.

I wouldn't know, I buy iPhones and so haven't needed warranty, Maybe some Samsung owners can share their experiences

Of course, I doubt you will have warranty issues when you buy a new phone every 6 months

what warranty... mate's iPhone was bricked by a software update. Apple offered him a slight discount on a new phone but wouldnt accept responsibility.

How far out of warranty was it?

Girl I know had an iPod fail and they didn't try send it away or fix it but just handed over a brand new one that day.

Oh, and was he messing around with jail breaking?
