It's working for him as intended...and indirectly for her too. Even though you mite think a 10k fine would worry him, the fact is now that he's all over the news (well certain vendors anyway) and the females that take 50 selfies a day who wouldn't know the difference between cricket and naval warfare will see him in public and be all like '' OMG, that's that Chris sportsman guy ''..then proceed to adjust their hair.

No. So what? It's not like he asked to see her breasts, he simply asked her to join him for a drink. That's not misogyny, that's flirting, albeit clumsy.

I do question the double standard though ... why is it ok for a female reporter to sexually harass a member of the public (not even a personality/sportsperson/etc, so ZERO expectation of being in such a situation on camera)?

exactly this.
at worst it should be - Mel says found it inappropriate - Chris apologises and matter is ended.
bloke gave it a go but mistimed it, if he had waited 5 mins when the interview was over then no probs.

having said all this though i think he did it on purpose to pump his own persona of being a partying ladies man and it did not go the plan he had in his head.

Reports are now saying that CA may not approve his contract for next year.

I'm about the furthest thing from being a feminist but even a caveman (like myself) knows there's a time and a place for everything...

So if there is a time and a place for everything, is a public bar any different? Or is that justifiable as the environment encourages smooth talking and no cameras?

Yeah, at least there won't be any kids around to see your crippling rejection at the pub...

What have kids got to do with it, if they are as innocent as you assume, they'd probably just dismiss it.
