I tend to agree with your statement. I don't think joy riders did it. There are are lot of goodies that can be sold of those cars stripped to aid the black economy.

Geez so this is the lengths Harold Scruby will go to to indulge his secret passion for lethally dangerous moster performance cars that could eat pedestrians in a single gearchange... :

I think that they would have been obeying every speed limit. Why would you want to bring any unwanted attention to yourself?
These cars will most likely never be seen or heard of again and that goes for the parts as well. I wouldn’t worry about looking up E-bay or the Trading Post. People who go this this sort of trouble don’t quite work like that.

Cheers, Danny

As said several times. They will be stripped and sold off. The motors and chassis will be 'hidden'. You will starting seeing XR6T upgraded to look like typhoons and then you will see XT's mocked up to look like XR's!

I doubt these parts are readily available, FTG salvage can confirm, so be very suspicious of anyone selling these 'upgrades'.

My Father's Typhoon was in the dealers holding yard in December, and the night before delivery thieves stole the wheels, brakes and hoses and ripped out the alarm system. Took another week for the dealer to find another Phoon ready to deliver to him. By the way, there was a GTP in the same yard, and was not touched....

Id say they knew exactly what they wanted and got in and out very quickly. Hopefully the bastards get caught but our police force are too busy with more important things like catching people speeding. out:

The parts will only be handed around to people just as shady as the people who knocked them off. No one who steals something as unique as a typhoon is gonna post pics parts on ebay. I've been offered XR6T parts before off a guy who i sort of knew but didn't really know that well, was very suprised. Even got told where the car was sitting and to go and have a look if i didn't believe him. wasn't about to get mixed up in anyone's business like that. I bust my guts to get what i've got and so would the person who had their car flogged. ИИИИes me off that these dead ИИИИs Don't work and just live off stuff like that! Needs to be way way harsher penalties for that stuff. Dare i say bring back capitol punishment!

Sounds like a professional job to me. As was said before, its unlikely that these people will try to sell the parts over the net.

FPV will not see those cars again.

Im taking orders for the next spree.... so drop us a line with your desired specs to stealmeacar@ihopenooneisstupidenough...@ho tmail.com

Just to let you see where they hold vehicles at F.P.V. in Melbourne. They are located in a street opppsite the Ford plant (approx 500mts away). These pics were taken one afternoon about 5pm.

As you can see not much to stop you from getting to those nice new performance vehicles.

I heard from someone that more were stolen from the main ford holding yard the other night. Wonder if it was linked to the pricks that raided fpv on sunday...

They used some very neat tools, boltcutters to get through the gate, plywood to get over the road spikes and just strolled on in. The security footage is apparantly quite funny with a couple of drunks strolling in afterwards for a look around!!
