Who honestly cares? These cars have origins in the United States so who gives a tinkers cuss what American car companies call their models.

If you want to talk about Australian culture I'll go to town with you, for some reason our youth desire to be African American in the way they dress and talk, I'll agree with you on that but car names? Sheesh.

BTW, swearing prolifically is just filler words which are used when the brain is concentrating hard on what words to use, over use of profanity does tend to denote lower intelligence. That said, a carefully placed swear word can be either hilarious or powerful.

It most likely will, given that Ford owns the 'Falcon' trade mark for "Motor vehicles for the conveyance of passengers and goods, but not including agricultural or horticultural vehicles of any kind".

The trade mark is due for renewal in 2018, so if Ford doesn't renew it, Bentley can then use the mark. Even if they do, however, by 2019, assuming Ford retires the Falcon nameplate by 2016 and doesn't use it for any other car, Bentley may be able to apply for the Falcon trade mark and to remove Ford's Falcon trade mark for non-use.

Colorado should be called the Holden New South Wales.
When someone says Colorado I don't think of the US state, I think of the ute. I prefer cars to be named after things that I don't see everyday.

I find Australians either love or hate the US.
The ones who hate it don't want to be associated with the place no matter what.

Yes but Falcon in itself isn't uniquely American. It's a species of bird native to many lands the world over.

Location names not animals or names that have originated in the US. My examples were all locations in the US and have little relevance here. Malibu, Colorado, Tucson etc.

Australia has Falcons as a native bird so that's fine. Actually, KIA here sells a SOUL. Kind of a play on words considering Seoul is pronounced soul. Their commercials are very cutesy with dancing hamsters.

Outbacks are sold here and we're not complaining about the image that conjures. It's a + for the Outback that it's rugged enough to handle the outback. No complaints here that I've ever heard of.

I think you're right about 49 and 50. But 51 might end up to be SoCal, haha!
