mine was changed recently in my WP Zetec 3dr. nothing u really need to know except be careful when removing the light, coz it can easily scratch the paint, and be prepared to take on german engineering.... in other words the lights can be difficult to remove.. otherwise its all straight forward.

Does the bottom section of the light just need brute force to pull it out. ??

I've tried to remove one on a WP and it feels as though Im about to brake something hidden in behind the light.

If you look in behind the flap of carpet there is a plastic nut on a thread...u will have to feel around for it takes about 30 turns before it comes off a approx 6 inch thread bolt on the light and the nob is about as big as a 20c piece. Be careful not to drop it into the inside of the car! When you have removed the two external screws on the lights the gently pull the lights out straight.
