Default Mk1 Escort info

Hey guys,

Any one know of someone who has a drivers seat for a Mk1 2door escort and also were the panel vans produced with a one peice tailshaft? My friend bought one for spare panels for the front of his 2 door and it (the van) had a one peice tailshaft and no area we could where the bracket would have gone for the centre bearing..

thanks

P.S also the rear seat for a Mk1 2 door..

As for the panel vans. Maybe the auto's had a 1 piece shaft, as I stripped a mk1 van earlier this year and it had a 1 piece shaft with no mounts, where as mine is a manual and it has the 2 piece. I also noticed on the one I stripped which was manual, The gearbox mount was custom and is a lot wider than the gearbox mount out of mine. I figured this must be cause the van was originally an auto and had the bigger tunnel. So a custom mount was made to fit the manual and hence the 1 piece shaft.
Just a theory though about the shaft. Could be wrong.
