Cool FordXR4.com - Lil Bro of FordXR5Turbo.com up!

Hi All,

Just a quickie to let those interested know that i've fired up www.FordXR4.com, a sister / brother site to www.FordXR5Turbo.com. :

Heres hoping it'll grow into the relaxed, mature site that XR5T has and compliment such awesome BIG DADDY sites as FordForums.com.au

Swing by and say g'day, plenty of information and pics growing onto the site.

Cheers,
Miyagi

Take a look at both websites and make up your own mind.

Photn: Do you think you are actually helping your cause by acting like a child?

You do realise you're making an associate of your behaviour with FordFiestaXR4.com?

Gah... whatever, I'm not about to try and reason with you. :togo:

Hmmm I dont see that the problem is photn. We are all part of a group with the same interest. Why not sign up to www.fordxr4.com and post on both sites. Both sites might be able to help each other out from time to time.

Its not going to help anyone carrying on like this. It may even turn some people away.

It was bound to happen someday. I do have mixed feelings about this situation but there is no point having a go about it, it will only make matters worse. Congrats to Miyagi for making the site. This is great because competition will only push me even harder. The support im getting is what keeps me going. My dedication will never stop. I will keep putting in, to be the number one source for all things Fiesta XR4.

At the end of the day, we are both doing what we know best and love. Lets keep it that way.

Cheers

Damo

Huh? I didnt take what photon said as childish at all??!? All he said was "Make sure to Visit the ORIGINAL XR4 website with heaps of INFO!!!" Thats the truth?

I think the rest have you have gotten your back up for no reason and now you look like the children. Very unimpressed!

Thumbs down hrrm..

For what it's worth, i'd like to maintain the fact i've always been pretty straight up with everyone on the Internet so here are the facts for you Bman seeing as you felt it necessary to ring in from the sidelines.

If you exclude the following actions by Photn:

1. 2 x personal public attack on the xr5t website (which i removed)
2. even more personal attack via PM (which i addressed)
3. the 'Don't accept cheap imitations' shot in THIS thread that you seem to have excluded conveniently (note i didn't go into the other thread promoting my site and take any shots)

...then i guess I was the one being immature about the whole thing.

This really was put to bed by Damo's post which is exactly the right way to react to the situation, i know i've been there before.

Ring in from the sidelines??? THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM!?!?!?!? AS IN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!!!

You didnt give us all the facts so how were we to know?

And for the record his 'Don't accept cheap imitations' has been on his signature for a very long time.

Either way forums should not be used for this! Mods, please close it.

Whats done is done. Please get over it and move on. It really isnt worth it.

Myself and Paul (Miyagi) have said our 2 cents about the situation. I for one am looking to the future of my site and nothing else. Miyagi is obviously doing the same.

I reckon youre all a bunch of sillly little boys opening forums of your own JUST so you can have the lifelong privelige of proudly being able to say "look at me im a big admin/moderator" of a site that has like 30 users.

In reality you all should have shut up, and asked Laminge or RusselW to create a PROPER XR5T AND XR4 club forum to sit alongside the Eurofordclub forum, the E series Owners Club forum, the AUfalcon.com forum, ORSM, Etc Etc. The general trend is tha the main discussion happens on FF.au, where the actual site for the club remains more quiet and unused, or used solely for info. THIS is the way it should be.

ONLY THIS site (FF.au) gets the most hits, and would be the most natural first hit for anyone looking for info on FORDS. It comes up first on Google searches or if not, its close, and when opened it is easy to find the forum or room for whatever car yo are looking for.

I've not been a fan of this "Hey lets start a forum for everything" Trend. Its stupid when we have such a fantastic mother forum to begin with in FF.au ...

I reiterate, you all should have just asked for an XR5 and XR4 Club discussion room WITHIN FF.au..... So stop your endless whinging and bickering and get a life outside the computer room children......

Jeeesus!

That's a very inaccurate perspective on why Damo started the fordfiestaxr4.com.

There is enough room in the Ford world for both sites.
