Hey guys,
Wondering if someone could help me out. I am able to get my hands on the rear end of a 105e Anglia, diff, leafs etc. Will any of these parts bolt up to my escort. Is the diff ratio any different, are the drums bigger then those on a 1.6L mk2 escort. Would the leafs be a better swap seeing as I have a 1.6L leafs with a 2.0L engine would it stiffen things up ?? Cheers PS this is all for a Mk2 Escort (4 door) |

The diff head will physically fit your Mk2 housing, but the drive flange will be smaller then the Escort tailshaft.
Ratio will possibly be 4.44 - worth some dollars to someone. Brakes will be virtually the same size on both. Don't throw the Anglia housing; they are slightly smaller in width and can be used for a 5 link set up with flares on an Escort. Bit of work but worth it. stephen |
