Yeah, it's west of the Hume, but it's been known as Camp Rd since the year dot. It can be one of two spots. There is a retarding basin where there was a farm once and just after the level crossing, there is an empty patch of land.
What's supposed to have happened there? |

I guess a title search at the local council would give the best results.

Lot 6 could even be on the site of the Kmart shopping centre, or the shops beside it

Ford released the EB SS which was a 6cylinder made for Group E production racing. All the engine parts were blank billets when bought from the listings on the parts fiche. Bit of a rare bird these days. Nice piece of kit but!

I do like that body stripe :voldar02:
Also I think it should be left in the colors it was raced when retired rather than respraying it red just so it can look like every other HO (you know what I mean). I mean if it's a tribute to a Ford campaigned by a Holden driver then wouldn't it be best to leave it as he raced it rather than make it look like the other 2.

FDC in Geelong should be able to get the info of where the actual location was, probably even pics of inside, either them or try Bowdens I guess, they seem to have a lot of info.

I could be wrong but have a feeling that everyone is looking in the wrong place, unless Campblefield was known as Broadmeadows at the time, it could be a street that has since been built over by Ford that was right near the Ford plant.
If you do a street number search on Mahoneys Rd the lower numbers are right up in Thomastown, so it may be that it is a road that no longer exists.

The mullens wheels building used to be cheviot wheels, they have a cement works next to it.
Some of the buildings further east, where the wreckers are have been there for ages too. |

Found out exactly where it was it was a row of big sheds where Mahoneys rd motor wreckers is now ,a fair way from pipeworks there is also a BP servo near the spot Ford vacated it in the mid 70 s and i know that in the early 80 s a well known burnout bloke ran a wreckers from thae actual site called moffat wreckers ,it was all pulled down in the 80 s when Mahonys motor wreakers took over the site
