Hi there guy's I'm currently doin an FG barra conversion into my xf speedway car im just wondering if some one could please help me out with telling me witch colour wire do I tap into in the coil wires to make a tacho work I've already purchased the tacho adaptor just unsure wat wire to tap into kind regards Matty

Hi. If its an autometer tach adaptor you cut the 12 volt feed wire to all coils (red/green) where the loom from the engine comes over to the body. From memory the car side goes to the red wire on the adaptor and the red black from the adaptor goes to the coils. Cheers MD

I've stripped my loom down an I can only find a pink/green wire that seems to be the main coil wire then just a red wire on its own

Hi. That will be it(pink/green), the high temp wire sometimes does look a bit pink. Cheers MD

So the red/green wire on the autometer tacho module do i just join that into the pink/green wire one the coil loom is that correct mate

Hi. You CUT the factory wire going to the coils and run one side to the adaptor then the other wire from the adaptor goes to the engine side of that wire. Red to the side that becomes live when the key is on, red/green to the engine side, black to earth and gray to the tach. Cheers MD
