Was it marked or unmarked car??

Would have been interesting to see, wonder if the Mustang will be the new HWP car??

op mentions "blue lights behind grill etc" would indicate a unmarked car to me...

Unmarked. The bright yellow and flashing lights caught my eye and then I thought it must be a Mustang not having seen one in the flesh so to speak

You'll probably find that the HP have their own station and car park.

Could also be housed with the task force cars - like the FPV & HSV specials (marked and unmarked) - some of which were out over the Xmas break on the Pacific Hwy.

Nope. HWP cars are parked in the open garages across the side of the carpark, 6 marked plus 2 unmarked. plus I get to see HWP every day in Goulburn especially around shift changeover. It's rare that Idon't spot at least one HWP car each day. Should also mention, 1 HWP cop lives around the corner and often has the car in the driveway, and one of the unmarked cars visits a relative of theirs 2 doors up from me.

Some areas have a dedicated station or 'command' for Highway Patrol. In the Illawarra it is in the Corrimal station.

Bad choice of car for HWP if they want to catch speedsters.

I'd be slowing down for a better look!

No offence but are you suggesting that Sprintman hangs around a ford forum but doesn't recognise a mustang when he sees one? lol

Maybe it was a Summernats stunt or something? It was a fleeting glance with us on the other side of Hume (between Mittagong turnoff and Goulburn).

Ecoboost Mustang is great value with more than reasonable performance, say 45k purchase and at least 30 odd resale potential.
Would make a great replacement for the HWP fleet.

Not too sure about the resale, IMHO once the initial demand is satisfied they'll be just another car on the road.
