My dear pals, today is a, very sad day for me, after 20 years of sitting in a shed,I finally decided to start her up today, after hoses belts oils fluids carby cleansing and gasketing new brackets, a minor re-wire of the engine bay and a new dizzy- the engine decides to seize,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Did or turn then stop or was it seized from he start ??
Pull plugs ?? One could be full of coolant.. Turn by hand or lever bar, socket on pulley bolt..

No it ran for about three min, then a sudden stop and a squeak, I thought of the hydraulic lock full of coolant I'll check that tomorrow , I thought I'd check the socket on the crank tomorrow when things have cooled down abit thinking the internals may have shrunk here's hoping, blood dizzy I think may have not sat in the oil pump drive shaft properly, I don't know

yes still (as money n time permit) doing the rebuilding the zh fairlane with a clevo 400m 4v heads injected whipple blown with aode 4 speed trans to a 9" ....... we'll get there eventually just remember don't be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark...Professionals built the Titanic! I have taken up meditation... at least it's better than sitting around doing nothing !! |

yeah, bad luck that. Still, could have been worse. it could have happened 100 miles from home, while it's raining, and dark, and it's Sunday and the towie is off duty.
