So yeah normal answer from a company "we have no future plans...." but there's still always a chance I guess.

I think this sums up this pretty quick
McDonald was, however, quick to point out Ford has no plans to introduce the Raptor or any vehicles from the F-Series family to our market. As one of Ford Motor Company’s global engineering hubs, Ford Australia imports a number of vehicles built for other markets around the world for testing, assessment and validation work. P.s - just noticed the bloke that posted it is in the States

I would buy one if its offered at a reasonable price. Would make a great upgrade from the PJ Ranger.

Seen a few around my area.
If they were reasonably priced id seriously consider one.

Didn't FoA have some sort of partnership / ownership / support arrangement going with VDC, who import the F-Series trucks here?

I'd love one of these but I think we have much better chance of getting the Mustang.

All I'm going to say is I am pretty sure I would buy one if it was sold here at a reasonable price.
If it came with a V8 diesel I'd probably definitely get one. I highly doubt we will ever see them sold here though. |

Sigh, we have half the country it seems screaming for the F Series, the last one they sold here was a success, my deposit is ready to go for one and they still won't bring it here. It's hard being a Ford fan sometimes...

Just grab one Herrod Motorsports. I am pretty certain that they are selling them now.

That's not the only Raptor in Oz either. Look what I found in Alice Springs earlier this month.
Converted to RHD too I was there for the Finke Desert Race (spectating not racing/crewing)

There are 12 available for sale at the moment, but expect to pay over $140k for a new RHD converted vehicle. Half that and I would stump up the money. Problem is that it would need to be RHD from Ford. They start at $43k in the US.

They're probably too worried about it impacting on Ranger sales to bring it here I would say.

What about the impact they would have on the Hilux, Navara, Triton, Colorado, BT50, Amarok, D-Max, Cruiser, Patrol etc? Sure they might lose a few Ranger sales but then they would gain sales from other brands as well. Obviously it (F Series) would be priced above the Ranger.
Am I correct in thinking that the next Dodge Ram will be made in RHD and might be coming here? Just in time for the end of the current Cruiser ute. |

I'm pretty sure this is the same Raptor I posted pics of a year or 2 ago on display outside the PD offices. At least they fixed the big dint in the front bumper.

I dont imagine that Ranger would eat through F Truck sales either. The Yanks love their trucks as big as possible. Ranger is big by what we're used to, but nothing compared to all the Rams, Silverado's and F-Trucks which is the best selling car of all time worldwide despite 99% being sold only in The States. |

It would take bugger all sales away from the ranger, and who cares its into a more expensive Ford anyway. The resource workers would go nuts and stop buying hsv's at the rate they do currently

The Ranger isn't in the same class as the F truck and Raptor ???? so wouldn't be a competitor ??
