just make the FG better, wider and better rubber, better suspension, and lose some weight (the new V8 will help a little here)

XT50, naturally aspirated 5.0 based on XT but with a good S Pac body kit,
Kick them out the door at $40,000 a pop and watch Holden supporters curl up in a corner....

XT20, Ecoboost I-4 2.0 based on XT but with a good S Pac body kit,
Kick them out the door at $32,990 a pop and watch Camry supporters curl up in a corner....

What about basing them on the XR and call them XR20 and XR50 at the same prices?

The XT looks like a hat full of assholes.

TDI falcons would be good to see keep the line kicking. Revamping the XT a base line with small kit to improve and maybe even adding a small turbocharger to make even better fuel consumption nothing hi performance enough to benefit the pocket and help with lugging around the weight. Unfortunately an FG coupe would be nice but the impression that popped into my mind wasn't good I instantly thought it'd look like a 3series BMW. Nice looking car though

i voted other, it is quite simple why i did this:

EXPORT! refine the I6 so much and make it into such a good motor that you can sell it as an economical large car then send it to the yanks, they'll lap it up 100x more then the....umm...the large FWD car they have over there...
also engineer it so it can run a FWD Eco boost or something as then they can have a super economical model

Agreed, it would go nicely in the F series.

None of this is sustainable at the moment, and won't be for a long time.

I want Ford to continue being relatively frugal yet smart with their decisions.

Another DIESEL for me.

But why so many Hero models for the Falcon? Just have GT, GTHO and F6. Make the rest RPO options (Colour screens, leather seats, memory seats and mirrors etc). The Focus even has less hero options than that, let alone what the Falcon has now, and it's a World car.

Coupe is too niche unless it goes global, but then there's the Mustang anyway. I can't see it happening, as much as I'd like it to.

I see Falcon needing 3 things to counter the thirsty, cheap dinosaur image it current has:
* more economy - ***DIESEL***. Or how about bringing in some corporate hybrid tech from Fusion or Escape. Heck why not bring the bloody hybrid Escape or Fusion to Australia in the first place?
* more technology. Australians want sync and auto up-down on all windows too remember.
* and more luxury for the higher models. Better leather. Better sounding doors when they close. More boxes to tick on the options list.

And while we're here, Ford, give us the BEST car you can make at the top of the list. Why the G6ET doesn't have manual, LSD or Sports Suspension as optional is just plain annoying. Rich guys want sporty driving too sometimes you know.

  • Build a Falcon range (povo pack to performance) that is at least 100Kg lighter than the current crop.
  • Give the Falcon better tyres and brakes
  • Build a better quality Falcon interior using better materials
  • Research seating positions, especially for performance cars, I want to sit in a Falcon not on it. Look at the Focus ST/XR5T, that's how you do it.
  • Get the EcoBoost TT V6 into the Falcon.
  • Import the Focus RS
  • Improve customer service at all levels, you want new and retained customers.
  • Get involved in programs that reward innovation (alternate fuels) and promote the fact you are.
  • Promote your full range of cars, it's not a Falcon only company anymore.
  • Take a risk or two, get your most vital products refreshed ASAP, don't delay like what is being done with the Territory.
  • MORE TECH, where are the gadgets? Where are the basics? Xenons, LED, auto window up, etc. C'mon Ford.

Wouldn't fusion compete with Mondeo and Escape with Territory? I thought the Fusion was introduced in the US when they stopped importing the Mondeo, plus that grill is just fugly.

Falcon will get the Ecoboost 4, it will provide similar economy to the TD V6, so I can see why Ford won't bother with it.

Diesels are way more popular in SUV's than passenger vehicles.

351 kw for a GTHO is pretty weak. It would need 375-400 kw.

Bring back the RTV, offer the options of the Diesel for the Territory, the ecoboost if you must and a 4x4 option, ah la Terry.

Its about the sacred number though XD

I think that ford lack in lots of areas.

Like the BFIIIIIIIIIIII..............IIIIIIIIIIIIII series wagon (lol)

And the territory that still has a BF interior like seriously.

ALso id love an RS focus but it will be do expensive as Australian cars are. Even the monaro and the VXR R8 where cheaper in the UK than they were here.

So I can see the RS being very pricey.

In terms of the falcon line up I think its good. But there starting to fail on even the basic 3 part aussie line up Ute, sedan, wagon.

Only 2 of these are sorted

lol that would be the "wagon powah".

I think a re ran XB coupe with modern features would sell like hot cakes.

Think brand new xb coupe that handles like an XR6, AC leather trim modern dash Ipod integrated.

Punt it out the door for 40k-45k

Only having known of this Aussie car world for 4 short years (which I now love) and being a younger ford fan. An XB Coupe will never be a car i can afford as its only getting more expensive.

Bare in mind this car would not be built the way is was years ago (i would hope that it wouldnt be built the same as a BA thats for sure)

It would be so much lighter than an original XB

The only sensible idea in this thread is the diesel falcon.

Falcon coupes... Theres a mustang for that.
Performance Wagons... Bloody hell, some of you are thick... THEY WONT SELL!
New-Retro Cars... Come on...

I say diesel Falcon as well. But I do like TheInterceptor's idea. That would be nice. Ah we can only dream.

Ford just staying around and still building cars in Australia would be more important than any of the other stuff though.
