The front looks small and squinty, like someone photoshoped the old look to about 20% smaller.

Not being a Territory owner.. I Can't really pick too many differences.. It looks like somethings different, yes. I just couldn't tell you what it is!

I do like the look of it though, but I like all terry's.

I think it just illustrates how tight Ford are with money at the moment.

Theres a picture of the Ghia (?) in the Motor Show guide today.

EDIT: Heres a great link thanks to Car Advice: http://www.caradvice.com.au/24006/20...-mkii-at-mims/

Oh no.....how do they expect to resurrect sales with that. They would want some very fancy bells and whistle to be announced aswell.

So it's just a MkII then?

This means that either:

a) There will be no "SZ" Territory in 2010 when Euro4 kicks in; or

b) The "SZ" will be much more revised than we think.

Personally I think this one doesnt go far enough and won't entice buyers back.

A quiet facelift, in line with FOA's conservative approach to just about everything...

big let down, its always been a good looking unit but this seems hardly worth the effort. I dont think it will attract buyers which is what it needs

The real pics that should be released soon show the updated Tezza in a better light than these cr@p cgi's.

The new front bar look quite good in the flesh, but yes it's a minor update, that's all it could be considering when they needed to spend money on Territory, they couldn't because they had to spend the money on Orion and everything that went with that!

Anything more to this update would have required full validation programs, from crash testing to durability etc. Just no funding for this, let alone the various spanners thrown in the works with the recent backflips and roundabouts in product development.

Front bar is definately different, headlights too. It look similar to the mk 1 to mk 2 changes in the falcons. I rather the older shape though

Quite a list of upgrades (apart from the look) though:
Alloys, side curtains and cruise control on TX.
Body colour kit, reverse camera, fog lamps, leather trim on the TS.

Ok, having just typed it out I guess they aren't that special after all (my SY TS already has body color and reverse camera... ;-)

It seems quite a subtle upgrade exterior wise, they say little about any interior changes or a diesel model.

I imagine it will look good in real life, if Ford Went too far with changes they may have distanced themselves from the substantial customer base built up on the existing model.

In my opinion it looks like a step forward.

I guess we were allways told it was just a facelift.. cause that's all it is, i just hope people look past the minimal changes and buy on functionality, because the terri is a ripper of a car, and probably deserved more.. but probably shows just how tight things are money wise in the Development dept...

It will be like the XF ute, just do some minor mods to the headlights (they didn't even try to disguise it was an XF under the same old skin)... same with the Toyota 70 series LC. The door skins and C pillar, and rear need to be changed too, because it looks a little old now.

Yeah it is hard, but at the end of the day cosmetics can sell a car alone; unfortunately thats what costs the most to change.

I wish they would drop that bloody 4 speed, surely if they put the 6 speed across the range it would give them an advantage and maybe (maybe) cost them less or the same ads the 4 speed as they would be ordering more from ZF.

Looking at the press release photos it does look like a decent facelift.
It wasn't ever going to be as big as BF to FG, But Id say thats more of a facelift than anything we saw on the falcon between BA and BF.

Its certrainly more aggresive. Id have to see it on the road to decide if i liked it though.

I agree, this face lift shouldn't be too different. As 2010 should be seeing a new model. If they made this facelift too much like the next model then everyone on here will be screaming that its the exact same as the SYII.....like what happened with the BFII to the FG.

But on another one of these threads someone was saying that the interior was 'freshened up' so hopefully they have made the car look different and have set up the SYII to help the transition to the new Terri.

Sorry i didnt realise there was a new model terri in 2010.. a basic face lift makes sense 12 months shy of a new model.
