Default I've seen petrol at 96.9c/litre...

...so does that mean those that have recently purchased a VE now have to re-imburse Holden for the difference?

Whoever came up with that scheme at Holden is probably up for a big bonus! Holden must be saving a packet on those who took advantage of that offer.

I've seen it as low as 94.9 for ULP in Adelaide.

Would be even better if those on the 99cpl deal actually have to pay Holden the difference

Seen 91.9 today in Brisbane.
I filled up with 65L yesterday, bought two cokes that were $5 for two, and it cost $64.
Compare that with a few months ago, when I filled up and it cost $96.

About the Holden deal - its a 99c CAP
ie it plateaus at 99c. If it goes under, holden doesn't need to reimburse the owner.

I remember reading that thread about holdens 99c fuel cap, someone had posted the question what would happen in fuel dropped below 99c...

I remember thinking "like that would ever happen!"

Ok, but when petrol was last under $1 a litre, LPG was about 30 cents.

Gundagai $1.169

so about 20c difference between country and city, however Gundagai is a major highway town, I still dont see the reason why it needs to be that much of a price difference, there is plenty of volume passing through.

I would imagine that transport costs would add maybe 2-4c, but not 20 :

Checking back over my records, I first saw $1/l back in October 2002. (but that was for 95RON so a few cpl more than regular).

Since owning my GT-P, 98RON is actually cheaper now then when I got it (October 2006). First tank was 136.9cpl, latest fill was 116.9cpl. Worst fill was 180.9cpl.

Yay!
