I'm a tad surprised this hasn't received a mention here yet.
Basically this is Porsche's car for the family. Quote:
Looks very good to me, thoughts?

I like it. Much more attractive than the Cayenne. When asked by a colleague what I thought of the Cayenne S parked outside a wholesaler that we touring a few years back, to quote myself "Its F.... Ugly!". Unknown to me the CEO who was guiding the tour owned it, and to make things more awkward, he overheard me. His expression said more than words could express. Had I known, I would have been more subltle in my assessment. I however stand by my thoughts. Impressive stats though

Urgh horrible!
Porsche should stick to 2 door sports cars, not family barges.

Looks great.......in the spirit of the Maserati and other 4 door GT cars.....
I like the way they have stolen the indents behind the front wheel and through the front door from the Carrera GT Overall, a winner. Am assuming its the same V8 and Turbo V8 from the Cayenne line up?

You know what's funny, it todays world of EPA ra ra ra, these Porche's can't run ethanol fuels.
Neither can Ferrari's.... Sux to be you. I suppose though, if you can buy these outright, you have the money for the expensive fuel. |

Whilst it looks better than the up and coming Lambo option, I still wouldn't buy one. If I needed to cart the family around, then, well, I just wouldn't.

I would much rather the Aston Martin Rapide which I think is a competitor to this Porsche and that Lambo Estoque
Here's a video of the Porsche Panamera driving if you haven't already seen it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aSiX8rkOWY |

Porsche should stick to what they know, but if they must make a 4 door GT car, try to give it a design that doesn't look like a melted 911. I really like the AM Rapide, and the Lambo Estoque, Not that my opinion is relavent, It isn't as if I am ever going to get around in one or something.

Would much prefer the Aston over the Porsche...
I like Porsche's idea of a 4 door sedan though... Grab a 911 and stretch it enough to add another couple of doors.

There is supposed to be a 2-door in a couple of years based on this platform, as a successor to the 928 (though numbers are out, funny names are in). |

When was last ttime Porche designed a good looking car? 911 -928 - 944 is about it
Why do all Porsches look alike these days? The 944 and 928 looked nothing like 911 and they were both beautiful. 911 was designed about 40 years ago and just had a few tweaks ever since. Boxter and cayman just look like 911. This thing and Cayenne are plug ugly. I want a job as porsche designer, they got the cushiest job in the world. IF they worked for ford Oz we would stil be driving XKs with square headlights. (hey maybe they contract to ford Argentina) (Puts possum stirrer back in cupboard) |

IMO, the front looks good, the rear looks good, side on it looks like it's got a full nappy. In that Youtube video, the V8 sounds awesome!!!

I love both the Lambo and the Aston, but the Porsche doesn't impress me. It looks like they've stretched a 911 and put on a bulging **** end similar to the Cayman.
