How can it be a 2009 model if its launched in March 2008. The Autoblog website has it listed as a 2008 model. Looks good though, there is going to be some real symmetry in the Ford range come next year.

I think the front has a very distinct styling touch of Austin Martin DB9

I'd consider trading mine in on the new model if it got upgrades, but your right, it will be basically the same.

Only difference I guess is now we will get a 3dr version and I hope things like sunroofs become an option & it gets AWD. A new range of colours would be nice.

I believe the AWD system is reserved for the Focus RS.

I'd say this is a pretty good indication of what the new falcon will look like at the front. you can see by the focus and mondeo that ford are creating a brand image. combine those pics with the mondeo and spy shots and you have a pretty good idea of the BH falcon.

Australia will get 3dr versions of the hatch plus more colours, trims and an updated inerior, there is no engine upgrades but i heard on another site that we will get a 6-speed auto, same Aisin one that it in the new Mondeo.

Looks absolutely horn! cant wait for the next-gen focus in 2011.

Well it looks great but lets hope that this one is faster than a BF XT taxi in a straight line. When the WRX, GTi, MPS are all capable of running low 14's, the Focus's 15's don't really excite me...

Bingo I am going to vote for this guy, the car looks good though (not as good as the Aston Martin) but for the price tag its a great car - cant wait until until the Aussie Focus in 2011

i should hope so; 0-100 in 6.5 seconds? I dont know any (standard) BF XT's or XR6 NA that can keep up with that...you have a point though about competing with WRX, GTi and MPS...

Steffo will tell you an R32 will run low 12's. New WRX is a high 14 second car as tested by Best Motoring. MPS is mid 14 and I think GTi is like low 15?

MOTOR have tested a GTi at 14.6 (DSG version), the MPS at 14.3 and have previously tested a standard WRX at 14.1 (its all in the back in the times section). best they have got for a XR5T is 15.2

Mind you, different day, different conditions yadda yadda yadda
