Will be setting up a similar page yes. Thanks for the comments too
I've got about another 50 or so photos to run through, then I need to de-number plate them and reduce the resolution ready to load up to the web page. I'd say they should all be up in the next day or two. So far a 34% hit rate on photos, 227 photos that are ok out of 655 taken. Sad really, I'd like more and I know I've missed a few cars so am terribly sorry. Cheers Brett |

Don't be sorry, there are some amazing photos there and I know that those that featured are very happy. It is a great thing to have someone taking pics of that quality and I hope that you are there for our next event. As for the strike rate, at least digital is cheaper than film at that sort of strike rate.
By the way, how hot did the ute look? Love your work and thanks!

Hi all, just a quick note, due to cyclone Monica my server is currently unavailable. It resides in Darwin and will probably be out of action for the next 12 - 24 hours.
Paul, I've got a few shots of your car, specially coming out of turn 1. All photos will be up as soon as the server is available. Thanks all, and enjoy your ANZAC day! Brett |

wow didnt think we were racing for sheep station!
I dont know I'm just going off the times recorded. I know grip and brakes were major issues. As you probably saw with my car. What else do you whant me to say. Is the the other 1.09 recorded by the xr8 a load of crock the too. If so how can we say that the eights beat the sixes fairly? You opened up a can of worms! Regards Paul

The most unique sounding DJR320 ever returning from his warm down lap
Dad returning from his warm down lap not long after DOUK trying to take things seriously... and failing as usual :nutsycuck I have a lot more stashed away and even a video or two tucked away. Most of my photos of "on track" action aren't the greatest but I do have a lot of cars parked and looking pretty. If people want to see more let me know

Ok below you'll find some links to some movies I took.

I have not opened a can of worm, I am putting a myth to bed early. as I said, it is not good for someone to think they are 10-15sec a lap faster then what they really are. Because next time you go I dare say you will have more work done to your car and you will be expecting to go faster. But your time will reflect you are going slower due to the 1:09 error. You will also most likely tell your mate that you reeled off a 1:09 and your car is as fast a Sports Sedan. How embarrassing will it be the next time you can barely do a 1:17-1:18.... Chris, myself and quite a few other believe it should of been a 1:19, for both you and Chris (Coyote). The problem is, the time keepers have a bloody difficult job to do and mistakes very easily happen. Add to that the last minute rush to get all the data completed to announce the most fun winners. The pressure is on them in a big way.... Yes the 6's were beaten fair and square. Even after adjusting yours and Chris's lap times the over all lap average for the 6's and 8's is only changed by a few 100's of a sec. I am not trying to put you down Paul, I am just trying save you from major dissapointment when your next out there and you don't get close to getting the times you set out to achieve.... Matt |

G'day All,
Hey lets not get carried away with this time thing. Lets take a deep breath and remember that it was a fun day and the intent and emphasis was on having a good time and going home with a smile on our faces. The time keepers did a sterling job under arduous conditions (I might add here that it was essentially the same people as last time as nobody else wants to do it). There is of course a way around it and that is through transponders and timing equipment. Expensive equipment to put on the shelf and only use once or twice a year. As for the Sixes v Eights challenge, well done to the Eights, no matter which way you look at it they won and quite convincingly. The only thing to mar it for the Sixes was that not enough entered and they were over run by the Eights by almost 2 to 1. It will be up to them to talk it up to other clubbies so the sides are evened up next time. Having said all that there is always things to learn from running these things and next time we will be a bit more streamlined than this time, as were were this time compared to last. As I stated before we are not CAMS grade officials, just a family car club that it offering the membership something different and another way to enjoy their car. Enjoy this thread and continue the healthy discussions , I would expect more sledging from those stinking V8s yet, but lets play nice and keep it above the belt. Cheers, Ken

At the end of the day guys I am still smiling from the fun I had. Just cant stop raving about how much fun it was!
Whether you drive a six or an eight the question is DID YOU HAVE FUN? I am proud of my car and what I have done with it! To enjoy it at its most extreme is the best fun I've had with my clothes on. Once again I thank all involved in running the day(its damm hard work). We should try to bring the date forward from december because it will be too hot and too punishing and the cars.Something to consider Ken.
