You see it all the time, crappy poorly lit dirty cars with photos that look like they were taken 30's before writing the ad and they usually are the ones asking stupid prices as well

Why is that the other half goes off tap when the car needs stuff done.
Not bling or stuff for the sake of doing it but proper maintenance. You get a workshop manual research how to do stuff and buy the parts....money money money they say. So u book it in to get done by someone else and they tell u the brakes are shot....money money money. The u mention her everyday ride that's done 108 tho has never had shocks or any front end work from factory And the pads have done 50 thou anxcths rotars might as well get done as well. Fmd I'm over it. Its now your car and your responsibility, tyres, service, everything., How well do u reckon that will go down??!

Why is it the bloody road repair crews insist on putting 80kph signs out 10km out from where they're actually working? Just because you might be eventually going to re grade and lay down new gravel on the verges for a 10km section of road, doesn't mean you need to reduce the speed on the entire section when you're only going to work on a 1km section at a time on any given day. THEN leave the signs out all weekend when there is no work being done and no impedance to traffic if you're not actually there spreading gravel FFS!

Why is it soft foods go hard if left in the open (bread, cakes etc) and hard foods go soft when left in the open (potato chips, biscuits etc)

Why is it that Channel 10 is screening "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" on CH10, 1, 11 and 12???
Why screen this tripe on all 4 channels???? WFT???? Is there no respite from this garbage. That line in the Pink Floyd's song from Dark Side of the Moon "I have 16 channels of (rude word for excrement) to choose from" has never been so apt.

Yup, I bet that cop was rubbing his hands together with the prospect of filling his quota there without having to go find suckers and then have to think up petty offenses to ping them on.

Why would anyone be rubbing their hands together?? The cop does not get the cash, however he now has to do the associated paperwork because some simpelton is too retarded to do the right thing even in front of a police car Suckers?? I am guessing you mean people that can't follow basic road rules that they agreed to follow when they got a drivers license, and are stupid enough to do it in front of a fully marked police car that anyone paying attention will spot from 500 meters away. I am guessing by your comment you have no understanding of police work, and most likely belong to one of the two groups I mentioned.

true in the UK the makers of the "jaffa cake" won a legal battle that it was indeed a cake and not a biscuit for VAT purposes, on the basis a cake goes hard when it is stale, but a biscuit goes soft when it is stale.

Using my years of experience in google-fu, it appears to be a small sponge cake. Sponge cake hardly classifies as cake IMO, worst form of the sacred food group known as "cake". Its worst case scenario cake. |

Well you'd be guessing wrong on all those counts. I have quite a good understanding of what police have to put up with and deal with. I have a very good relationship with my local police member due to a long history of dramas perpetrated by my psycho neighbours. But I have also had to put up with over zealous tossers, full of their own self importance, who get their jollies from throwing their weight around because they've got a uniform on. And oh, I'm sorry, it's not a quota is it, our esteemed deputy commisioner of police clarified it not long ago as a "benchmark", how silly of me. The cop may not get the cash but if he doesn't meet his quo...er, benchmark, he has some explaining to do. As for seeing a plainly marked car from 500m. Our local cop is a great bloke and doesn't play hide and seek but the area highway patrol guy and the ****** from the next town will regularly hide themselves in a particular tree lined driveway in the middle of a long straight out on the highway and nab people going just over the limit. There's another tree lined spot just the other side of Tumby Bay where they hide and stand next to the trees with the radar gun and do the same thing. I guess that's easier to do that than actually get on the road and be pro-active and BE SEEN. But I guess it's harder that way to meet the "benchmark". There's good and bad in the force and most are good but to be sitting in the middle of a needlessly speed restricted zone, because the road crew are too lazy to pull the signs down over the weekend, pinging people, smacks of lazy revenue rai...er, sorry, benchmarking, just because you can, instead of using some common sense and being fair, and going and finding the people who are deliberately and dangerously flouting the law, instead of going after the soft targets.

Why is it when Mark Webber was the sole Australian representative in Formula 1 that the Grand Prix Corporation rarely used his image in any advertising but now that Daniel Ricciardo is here we see his face everywhere?

Why is it that my Indian neighbours can kick up merry hell till 1 or 2 am most week nights and even have religious ceremonies at 6:00 am on a Sunday morning entailing 30 to 40 people crammed into one home-unit chanting and beating drums, yet if I wash the car at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning there is wailing and hair-pulling and threats to call the police for disturbing their day of rest?

Do what we did at a mates flat back in the day when the neighbor insisted on playing inane pop music incessantly. We turned his big a$$ speakers around and put them up against the wall then cranked up Back In Black flat out till he got the hint and turned it down.
Every time they start carrying on at all hours, just point your speakers at them and crank up something that you know will make them cringe, maybe some very base-y doff doof that is out of time with whatever they are doing.

Why is it that every time we go to the toilet we need to wash out hands because 'it is dirty' but when it comes to oral sex we dive in face first with no questions asked.
