Kev, i don't see any sense in going to the shell only to have to turn around & come all the way back to the Geelong turnoff, if no-one else is going to the BP we should just join Theo & co on the hoppers on ramp.

Theo, will you be on the forsyth rd ramp & about what time, i guestimate the group leaving from the shell will be going past around the 6:30am mark if they leave the shell at 6:10-6:15.

Judging Entry
Owners of cars to be judged must have their entry form lodged at the Kiwanis Administration Tent before 10.30am. To be eligible to be judged, show cars must be on show in the correct category or car club site, with car bonnet open. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Judging Process
The 24 "Category Trophies" each with a winner and runner-up, are assessed by trained judges which are independent of the event organisers. The judges also determines the Major Trophy of "Best Overall Ford" as being the outstanding highest scoring car. The "Ford V8 Driver's Choice Perpetual Trophy" is a vehicle selected on the day by the V8 Supercar drivers who are present. These V8 Drivers make their selection based on what they consider to be an outstanding Ford Show Car. The Major Trophies for "Best Presented Club", sponsored by Ford Credit, "Best Car-Feature Club", sponsored by Noddy's Soft Drinks and the Shannon's Trophy are selected by the respective sponsors, who award the trophy to the car or club that they consider is outstanding and worthy of a Major Trophy.

A car show that has an attendance of 1,200 Ford Show Cars is a huge undertaking, as is the judging of a large number of cars. The "Kiwanis All Ford Day" car show was established in 1991 as a charity fund raiser and has gone on to become a major attraction for Ford Show Cars and Ford enthusiasts. The judging of show cars is intended to select the best vehicles on the day, appropriate for the trophies to be awarded. Whilst the judging is very comprehensively carried out, the judging is not intended to be a detailed, technical or mechanical inspection of every facit of each vehicle. We do rely on the good faith of car owners that their cars are genuine Ford with genuine Ford engines and components. To inspect and check engine numbers, VIN numbers etc, would be beyond the scope of our event. We do hope that this brief explanation of the judging process will answer many of the question we receive each year.
