I bought a project boat (tinny) today and a few mates here on AFF have helped me pick it up and store it due to interstate travel restrictions...

Hi all,
I watched a bit of ON ANY SUNDAY this morning, it's great, how far have we gone in 45 years!
Going for a dirt bike ride on the bridle track to Hillend tomorrow (Sunday) and then watch the rest of ON ANY SUNDAY in the evening while I recuperate from the ride.
How good is it, wouldn't be dead for quids.
Has anyone been watching TIGER KING, it's addictive, that ***** Carol!

Cheers Phil.

Had one of those (presumably tiny) infections in a sinus cavity that feel like they’re going to burst and give you a massive nosebleed. Finally at about four this morning, it obviously popped - but negligible blood. Now enjoying an unblocked nostril for the first time in a while.

Hi laidback,
So what's the car, I'm guessing a Benz to have electric adjustable pedals, but I have no idea!

Smile Re: What made you feel good today?

Finding all the information I needed on Ford Forums for my SY Territory so I could remove my trims without breaking anything, and find a grommet to feed a cable through my firewall, so I could connect a cable to my battery to power my 12V car fridge for the 11 hour drive I do every week to get to work. Job done and money saved on an auto-elec. Thanks to all of you that post stuff on here for the mechanically useless!

In case anyone needs it,
Interior trim and orientation https://fordforums.com.au/wsmpub/sx/501-05.html

I referred to a number of posts/threads for feeding cable through a firewall. I ended up going from the battery along the drivers side of the engine bay, then following a wiring loom and the bonnet release cable through a stretchy grommet down behind the fuse box. I laid the cable under the cowl driver side scuff, front door scuff plate, and the scuff bin (I had no idea of the names for these bits before Ford Forums! Lol) and out behind the driver’s seat.

This routing method would work for installing power cable to an amplifier (which seemed to be a popular thread).

Had a really good day today. Took my long lost car for a rip. It has the standard issue bf stuff, but i do have the remedies. Diff bushes i need to get, beer economy will get them pressed in. Already have the lsd centre, remedy the flashing slippery light mashing it and the 1 tyre fire with dsc off. No comment on the exterior. Popped stitching is the interior flaw. Thought about that and called my mum. Asked if she wants a project. I have no plans to really drive my car. So i dont care if it takes 3 months. I asked if she can re stitch the back seat and the drivers seat. She accepted the challenge, then grossely insulted my car. Yeah its boot leather seats, but she assumed cloth. Her benz is pleather. Ill speak towards a ford with the badge from an italian design house (somewhat dont think a design house had any hand in making the car). During my daily duties my mate who rents my granny flat packed the fire pit and invited my other mate over, sat around the fire for a few hours shooting the ****, not a bad day.

Had a 4am virtual meet with a bunch of my friends from another forum. Not great timing for me here in Aus, but that's when most of the Northern/Eastern/Central Europe and USA based people were available.

I'm honestly astounded that we hadn't thought to do this prior to lockdowns. I know some of them play GTA5 together, and I've played Minecraft with them before.

It makes the most sense for us spread around the world, but we usually organise in-person meets and then fly around the world to catch up. Which is still incredible to me. Some of my best friends, and the best experiences I've had, have been with people I've met on the internet.

I landed in Dallas for the first time in March last year, and immediately had a bunch of friends to hang out with. Ditto Finland, Germany, Croatia, Canada, etc.

When I stopped to think about it, we had people from Britain, Canada (Vancouver and Montreal), USA (Utah, Missouri, Texas, Boston), Croatia, Germany, Brazil, Australia and Finland in the chat, as well as messages from a few people in places like Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic who were unable to join us, but wanted to say hello anyway.

Looking at the camera feeds, three people were in homes I've either visited or stayed at overnight, and I've met over 70% of the participants in person at least once.
A lot of us had plans to meet up and travel together this July/August, which has had to be pushed back to next year for now, but we're planning to make these virtual meets a regular thing, adjusting times so that everyone gets a time slot that isn't totally inconvenient for them. It was great to sit around, chat with everyone and have quiet drink with my friends.

All of this was only made possible by one guy: Alex Mills, who started the forum, and created the community that we met through, who sadly lost his battle with Leukemia in February last year - Jeremy Clarkson even tweeted his condolences, but as long as we meet, Alex's memory won't be too far away.

Hi all,
I'm sending this from Orange hospital. Went over the handlebars yesterday, broke nine ribs, collarbone and punctured a lung! Just had a block fitted in my back and feeling much better!

My wife has a litre of petrol and a box of matches.
No more ON ANY SUNDAY for me!

Cheers Phil.

I wouldn’t have minded something like that either!

Washed/scrubbed one of my flexible air lines today. It was filthy, been telling myself it needed doing for months. Nice to see it come up alright, the overspray from dozens of painting sessions now clean and revealed.

Hi Bongo,
I saw an add on Tele where a bloke cut a tinny in half and tapped it back together with this magical water proof tape!
You could do that and really save on space.

Just picked up an NOS Valeo clutch kit for the wee Pug, $212 posted from Europe. That’s over a hundred cheaper than locally for the exact same item.

Stopped by the salvo's on the way home for the first time since the outbreak. There was a shelf full of pentax lenses, fish eye, wide angle, 100-300, 28-90 macro and a 85-200 macro. Paid $75 for the lot, home now and they all work, stoked!

I got the funniest look today. Was talking to a lady who i get along with. Ill cut the fat, but she asked why i was so happy today. I said i picked my car up on the weekend, my brother borrowed it and has no licence. She went all stern and asked why lend a car to someone who cant drive? I said he could when he borrowed it. She asked when was that? I said 2012. The reaction was gold. I laughed.
