Could all those attendees who have made a commitment to the Nationals this year & are able to at this time send in your entry forms and entry fees so we can satisfy expenses associated with the show n' shine public liability insurance and other costs.

Please ensure when you make payment you address it to:
Simon MANCHEE, Parkes Motor Meet, PO Box 583, Booval, QLD 4304
Entry Costs: $35 per vehicle, Entry fees are non-refundable.
Or alternatively you can direct transfer your entry fee to:
Account Name: Simon Manchee BSB: 114-879 Account Number: 437041690

Please ensure cheques, postal orders ect are made out to Simon Manchee, Parkes Motor Meet. This ensures these items can be banked.

You early assistance will ensure the organisors have everything ready on the day.

Be aware we only need the Vehicle Entry Form & Vehicle Entry Payment ($35 per car) asap.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Good on you Shazz..

I was just sitting here wondering why we, the B Series go to Parkes every year. Not the town mind you; it’s the B’s who make it what it is.
Each year the same people make the commitment to come together and share their Cars, their experiences, something of their lives, just for a few days each October.
Parkes has evolved into something special for those of us who have been to each of the B Series nationals; we’ve even got a website for our event.
The Newcastle mob mostly all show up, some of the Sydney-siders, Dougie and some others wander up from Mexico every year.
‘Captain Cowlick’ & ‘Wonder Wilson’ came over from S. A. and we were stunned by the work which had gone into Wilson’s Ute. We’ve seen entrants from outside the B Series membership from far n’ wide and there’s something which draws us back; is it the cars, that’s part of it I suppose; we all enjoy our cars and appreciate those of others. For me it’s the people, who’ve come along every year who make it loads of fun each year.

So from one little idea kicked off by the ‘Guardian’ a few years ago it’s grown each year with new members and others joining in and mixing it up for a beaut weekend, of fun, food, dancing n’ dining, acting the goat……. Oh, yeah n’ raising some dust…..
This year is going to be another lil’ ripper, so make a decision, decide to join us in Parkes on our weekend, make the commitment to finalise your accommodation, (even a swag will do), get ready for some real fun, get your entry in now….. roll on Parkes and 16 & 17 October, 2010.

We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.
