I think ford aus prices are a rip off as usual!
Wont be able to just bring one in and convert it until someone gets RAWS certification here.. With Ford selling them brand new here I cant see any workshop being allowed or even bothering...

Converting LHD to RHD can be an expensive exercise... Some of my clients are RAWS workshops and do everything from new Camaro's to Dodge Rams and alot in between... Conversion can be anywhere from mid 20's to 40k depending on what car/truck it is...

These are the standard rims.

My biggest concern with this car is head room.....

That's for pre-orders. You "could" still get one through if there's any left before the 31st. But I don't like anyones chances.

Quote:
March 9 – March 31
 Dealers can add additional orders up until COB on March 31 by providing the details to their DSDM/DSSM (refer DSDM)

March 31
 Cut-off for the customer order bank for launch allocation

These are from an email from Ford. So I guess that price guide of $50-$70k that had everyone up in arms was pretty close to the mark.

Quote:
Fastback 2.3-litre GTDi I4 EcoBoost, 6-speed manual, $50,668*

Fastback 2.3-litre GTDi I4 EcoBoost, 6-speed automatic, $53,496*

Fastback 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8, 6-speed manual, $61,627*

Fastback 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8, 6-speed automatic, $64,290*

Convertible 2.3-litre GTDi I4 EcoBoost, 6-speed automatic, $60,562*

Convertible 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8, 6-speed automatic, $71,212*

Terms & Conditions
*These recommended drive away prices have been calculated based on Manufacturer‘s List Price, 12 months registration in Western Australia, 12 months compulsory third party insurance (CTP) with a premium insurance provider, an estimated Dealer delivery charge, stamp duty and other applicable statutory charges in Western Australia (being the highest statutory charges in Australia). Statutory charges are current as at February 2015. The actual drive away price may differ depending on selection of options, individual circumstances or choice of insurer. Final purchase prices will be at the discretion of the selling Dealer.

Hi Smoke, Dan,

Dealer has said delivery by Feb 2016. The reason I'm going next week is the sales rep is off for a few days but it's all been locked away with him.

Haven't confirmed a price but Sinclair Ford have always looked after us in the past and I'm not anticipating any problems there.

This will be a longer wait than the GT-F guys!! But, the specs are pretty well known so I won't be as anxious as when I placed the order for the R-Spec!

They will be allocated something, but its more about filling what customers want to start with.

Well if thats the case, I'll pass and wait for a second hand unit to come along. What happened to the talk of mid 40's and mid 50-60k prices?

Wow. This, this is what Ford needs....new blue blood
The secret will be if Ford looks after them or burns them like they did with so many Falcon and Territory owners. Hopefully lessons have been learned.

Mid 40's for the Ecoboost are before on roads. The prices I quoted are recommended driveaway prices.

Yep, this will be the key. If their service, or lack thereof, continues as it has done then they'll soon loose customers again!

On Roads are a bit of a dog's breakfast. In QLD stamp duty is 4% (6.5% in WA sounds is expensive!), Registration and CTP for a v8 is $1,000 approx and the dealer delivery charge is what ever the dealer can charge, $1,000 to $3,500 for a wash and affixing the rego plates and the dealer name sticker on the rear window! :-)

Yeah - $3500 for dealer delivery is a bit of a croc

Question - does the cost to freight the car to the dealer included in the base cost (MSRP) or is it part of the dealer delivery charges?

Why does it take so long to get them here? By the time we get our first shipment the next model of mustang will already have been on sale for a couple of months in America.
