I don't use much mainline stuff. Final Inspection for me, Australian made and owned, ships to the US now. Their wheel cleaner is pure magic.

I had a work colleague ask me the same question last week.

I directed her to Bowden's Fabra Cadabra.

https://www.bowdensown.com.au/fabra-cadabra

They even have a short video on how to use it.

After using the bissell today, it’s a great investment for car seats and car interiors. Along with smaller jobs around the home (lounge, small rug). I would recommend that. But also as above fabracadra is good too.

And speaking of hoses, NEVER EVER buy a cheap one. Cheaper hoses kink more, don't flow as well and don't last for long. Likewise hose click fittings. I a big fan of the Gardena brand, quality hose with quality fittings.

Absolutely a great investment. Mine are somewhat simpler, having no rollers. Crikey, they're a great anger management tool.

Looks to work amazingly well in the videos I have seen on it.

With Spray Sealants and Ceramic coatings being so popular, it's easy to forget the effectiveness of a good old fashioned wax.

https://www.waxit.com.au/collections...-insulator-wax

Don't be fooled by the plain packaging, Collinite Insulator Wax is an extremely durable product that supplies exceptional gloss. It can be applied by hand or machine and will give 5 - 6 months protection. In colder weather, this liquid wax tends to solidify so should be warmed under hot running water before use. It's also important to apply thinly, otherwise the buff off process will be hard.

Not sure where my tally is up to but have bought several bowdens buckets, dolly, microfibres, sponges and various other products. I thought my cleaning cabinet and quality of car cleaning was pretty good but was I wrong!

For those who are looking, next Saturday (October 3) Aldi are selling some car cleaning stuff including one of those extendable windscreen cleaners:

https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-b...g-accessories/

At $5.99 you can't go wrong!

Sponges? What are they?

I have a bit of collection of wash mitts, I'm sure that isn't a surprise to many here.

Firstly, I have been using these CASCADE Microfiber Wash Mitts from Waxit for a while now.
https://www.waxit.com.au/collections...ncours-cascade

Next up, these Microfiber Mitts from CarPro are excellent. I like how I can slip them on and off easily and that they are supremely soft.
https://www.waxit.com.au/collections...icrofiber-mitt

Next, The Rag Company CYCLONE 10X Wash Pad. These are expensive but are a worth the price, being made of high quality materials.
https://detailingshed.com.au/collect...emium-wash-pad

I also use these Bowden's microfibre sponges as a addition to my wash bucket when I have extremely dirty lower panels and side skirts. The design of these has changed since I purchased these although the below link are similar.
https://www.bowdensown.com.au/muffy-sponge

After use, I always wash then air dry indoors before storing in a dust proof container.

I don't want to know how much I have spent on detailing supplies over the years! It makes me happy so it simply costs what it costs.

Absolutely beautiful cars you have there. LOVE the garage too!

Hey DFB, got a challenge for you. And knowing the type of guy you are, you'll relish this task

Seems to me like you have a range of products for each step of the cleaning process; some because you're trialling out different products, and some because you have a different product depending upon the exact issue that needs addressing.

What I'm interested in, if you had to pick one product for each step of a general clean, ie a once a week or fortnight clean, what would be the go to product for that step?

Are you able to provide a step by step guide, showing us pics of each product and how you use it, and a link to where we may be able to purchase that product? If you like, a dumbies guide to getting a great result.

Look forward to seeing what you recommend, if you accept the challenge!

What would you guys recommend to get out swirl marks with a DA?

Regular polishes won’t get them out. Need something a bit stronger.

Scholl S20 Black is a one step compound that is very easy to use and should do what you need. I started using it after seeing a few members on here get great results with it.

https://www.waxit.com.au/collections...-step-compound

Meguire's Ultimate Compound should do the trick too, although S20 is much more forgiving.

Bowdens Happy Ending is another similar product.

I just used this for the first time last week.

So my car has:

2 x Coats of Collonite #845

1 x Fully Slick

2 x Happy Ending (one after another)

OMG my paint feels like glass with oil over it. It is just so slipy it's rediculous. I put sheets over my car at the moment because I'm not using it, and it nearly impossible for them to stay on.
