Sounds good to me. GT-E level interior and brakes etc. With R Spec driveline and wider rims. I would buy one of these in manual if I didn't already have GT-E with R spec level rims, as it's essentially what I always wanted but couldn't get, a manual GT-E with stiffer set-up.

I think the execution of this release, announcement, Facbook post or whatever you want to call it sums FPV recent history in a nut shell. Mismanaged, perhaps under funded and dissapointing when the basics are there but the detail is lost.
No one was seiouly expecting an intercooler or anything much warmer than what we had already seen, but for a finale as mentioned before its basically a R Spec 2.0. They can even lob the bottom of the E badge and bingo, got the F...genuis.

Ford is yet to release a picture of the car. Power output and images of the car will be released in three weeks, Ford spokesperson Neil McDonald told motoring.com.au. The former is widely tipped to be 351kW.
The rest is here, http://ninemsn.carsales.com.au/news/...or-final-42793 |

This is the same gang who will look shell shocked when an overpriced and poorly marketed Mustang will launch to some initial buzz and then disappear without trace from the motoring presses attention. Its what Ford Australia does. In some ways NOT including GT-P seats in the GT-F is a final and fitting reminder that Ford Australia never puts anything in a car they feel they can get away with not including. No need to go overboard pleasing potential customers. Last edited by DanielXR8; 08-04-2014 at 08:07 PM. |

Given the fact the budget for this would've been what, $50, I think its quite a reasonable send off.
Basically a GTE with RSPEC go faster bits. Would've been great to bring back some of the old 'look at me' colours, but for a run of 550 cars it was never going to happen. As PB said 'the last of the Interceptors' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpDLeo4lcCg And I will never own one :( |

With revised traction control, remapped engine tune, this thing could be quicker 0-100 & 1/4 mile than a GTS. Maybe it can upset the HSV party with it's last roll of the dice.

Hi everyone
call me **** but reading the detailed press release they haven't said it is the last GT; merely the last FPV. The article clearly talks about paying homage to the FPV brand rather than to the "GT" brand. So maybe, just maybe there could be a FH Falcon GT (if we get there). We have been here before; 40th anniversary, cobra, 5th anniversary… Don't get me wrong i'm excited but I might keep my powder dry. I bought my BFII Cobra 2 years after it's release - brand new for less than the original purchase price. So I might just let the dust settle with this one (but it's going to take great self-control). It's great teaser marketing though. |

Its clear the 6/4 Brembo's are included as standard kit in the GT-F mate. Good decision in my opinion. GT-P seats should be available, at least as an option, for those that want them IMO.
