ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhH MATE

What he is saying is $5k would probably make it yours. Your not going to get better than that.

Spend $1k and freshening up the engine and you should be fun.

It would make a good track car base actually.

Engine requires no freshening - the bores were perfect when I did the top end. Whack a cam and a set of headers on it and off you go. Rocketship. 5 would certainly make it yours.

Sorry that was rude of me, I didn't mean to say that it needed it. But when I buy a second handy I usually give it the once over just for piece of mind.

If you were in VIC that thing would be sold easy by now.

No, that's fine mate - the impulse to rebuild runs strong in many of us.

I've had a lot of interstate interest but no one ready to commit. I've never had a hassle buying an interstate car - the RACQ here will check a vehicle over and shipping is hardly costly these days...

Anyways, this isn't my for sale thread (although if anyone wants it, please call me!)

You guys are teaming up on me ;)

well, thus far yours is one of a few that have caught my
interest, which is not easy to do. Only one V8 in there, AFF user wants 11 for it
though, a bit much for me I'm afraid. Will keep on touch greenmachine.

geez, somewhere between 5 and 11, even i'd be tempted to part with mine.

no 'freshening up' required as its yet to reach 100000km, no modding required straight away as it already has go fast bits....

its not for sale (advertised) but flash enough money around and everything's for sale.

that was so tempting i spent the morning browsing the net wondering what i could get. i've always wanted a mercedes, and you'd be surprised what you can get under 10k. not a match performance wise, but the way things are going, i'm not that fussed anymore.

i also had a look at e series manual v8's and they are holding pretty good value....

so...

i don't think i'm quite ready to part with it just yet. not for 6k anyway.

cheers anyway. another $1000 could make it a much tougher decision, although i'm pretty sure, what my car is worth to me, and what its actually worth are 2 very different things.

Ok I've changed my direction a bit. Have decided to just pay off the defecit and get a run around falcon for now. So if anyone knows of a cheap (500-1000) car for sale, would love to hear from you.

Haha, vik, I hate to say it but the only classic I'm going to buy is an XB coupe- two less doors but so much sex.

Hope I didn't step on your toes? Chicky babe in that pic nearly had me tempted, then I realized the car was fake-ouch.

Naish

PS:are you coming next Sunday? Talk to rik if you don't know what I mean
