I wouldn't say I got my P's straight away, I could of gone a day earlier and got them the day I turned 18 after all - LOL!
I learned to drive with my dad in his NFII Fairlane Sportsman, which I ended up with as I liked it and he wanted to get rid of it.. i had 2 driving school lessons just before the test to make sure I was good as I felt I was and ready for the test. Passed 100%, but I'm not gloating much as I doubt I would now, sadly I have 'driving habits' lol. I then got a NL Fairlane By Tickford which was arguably literally 'just' too powerful for the Vic P plater laws at the time and to keep up tradition, I took delivery of my brand new F6 Typhoon the day after I could legally drive it as I was off my P's. So yer.. I could have got it sooner, just. |

Went to the cop station, Sargeant takes me out for a spin around the block, reverse into a laneway, back to the station, sign the papers.....full licence you beauty!
I was driving a matchbox, a Honda Life, so the cop said it wasnt worth showing if I could park the thing
