They're actually rated to run on 95RON or higher, thats why its pinging on 91 RON. Your owners manual will confirm this :-)

My 2007 WQ Zetec auto is averaging 9lper 100kms or 30mpg. BUT my BF MK 2 Fairmont Ghia gets around 11l per 100kms, driving in Briz. The Fiesta isn't economical for a small car. Not impressed with the FIESTAS fuel consumption, the rest of the car is great !!!. Maybe should have bought a Corolla ?

i've been getting a pretty consistent 6.7-6.9 L per 100 kms. been documenting my fuel consumption week by week on an excel document. went to mansfield close to the end of the snow season. got 6.19 that trip. i was quite impressed. it also seems like the car remembered how much it was consuming and the km to empty alters to suit the driving conditions for the past trip. i filled up and the km to empty said i would get 750 from the tank.

My FIESTA consistently gives a range of 470km, so there must be something wrong with mine then ???

Small autos aren't usually known for their economy. Add air-con & city driving = :(

I don't go hooning in it !!! I am an old fart who drives normally.
Fez travels ipswich motorway so constant 90km speed limit, until Moorooka then 60km. About 80% motorway speed and 20% stop start driving for work.
Might get Metros to check ECU and auto box computer.

I get 480km per tank,95 ron, 30% motorway/70% suburban driving. Mine's an auto, I think a manual would get much better economy. My manual Focus' petrol consumption is about the same as my auto Fiesta!

I have been getting about 640 to 650 traveling to Ipswich via Moggill and Mount Crosby Road, using Caltex 98 and manual. Get your car checked csv8, that is not right.

Well after running on 98 for a few months, I got 6.2L/100km when I filled up yesterday.
The distance to empty said I had enough for 30km, yet I could only get 39 L in there. Didn't want to push it to see how far those last 5L would take me.

I have put 44 litres in mine, that was when I got 670kms and the DTE had been on 0 for about 13kms!!!!

Still getting 6.4 as an average but is slowly getting better as I am reducing the refills by about 1 litre per refill.

On our recent trip to NSW and back we got around 600 per tank in the Mrs WQ Fiesta Zetec auto (two passengers, and luggage) and we ran premium fuels all the way (Shell, BP, Mobil)

I have no doubt you could get around 650kms per tank if you were cruising on the freeway at 110 for long enough, especially in a manual.

Cheers, Rob.
