Geez, I would have loved to have listened in on that phone call.....
I reckon if you listened hard enough you could have actually heard him shat himself !
I hope he gets what he deserves !
It is great to see people here back each other up, 'ey ! Hopefully should put some doubt in these scammers heads..... I reckon there would be plenty of room in there for it ! :

Cheers,

Good luck mate. Its getting interesting. LOL. I had the same happen to me but was buying something from a guy on the old ford australia forums i think or it may have been this one. Was $1300 set of B45 simmons which apparently good nick. Got the wrong sizes, they need totally repolidhing and cleaning up as they are all pitted etc. He kept telling me he'd give me some cash back or get some new rims sent but never did. Whenever i hit him up he said he was broke but would have it soon as he just got a new job. Blah blah blah. He to was to far away for me to drop in. That was over two years ago and still nothing after staying on his back for a year. Still haven't got the rims on the car as i don't have the money to spend on them. I bought them thinking and told they would be fine to put on the car as is as you'd hope for $1300rims.

Send him the pic and tell him to pay up by the end of the week or you'll take his Crapodore as compensation for faulty goods and stuffing you around.

I bought some gear off a bloke from the states through ebay which never turned up.
First he thought I lived in Canada and asked for another $50 postage to get to Oz, which I paid. Then after a couple of weeks of stuffing around and other excuses he said he'd sent the stuff (weiand manifold and water pump) and it'd take about 4 wks. Well after about 5 wks passed tried getting in contact with the scum with no replies. Chased it up with paypal and ebay but since it had been more than 42 days apparantly they wont do anything.
The only thing I could think of to get to him a bit was sign in to a sh!t load of porn sites with his name and email (had 3 different emails including his work one) and hopefully he got bombarded with porn spam!
Would still have liked my parts or $400 back though.
His ebay account has been inactive since too, the slimey !

Maybe he passed away....and then the family was disgusted with finding all the porn you signed him up for so they donated his corpse to a dead body studying facility where he remains to this day...still with the weiand manifold crammed up his date.

bet you didn't think of that did you?

I think if I buy a big ticket item I will be asking for photos with the person holding a newspaper of the day. which I would hope made them think before making to many claims. Also using paypal as a third party, when you get the goods they get the money.

I will be watching this space for updates, getting interesting.

love to be a fly on the wall

I know its too late now - but this is why I only ever use Paypal for buying anything through the net (wether it be ebay or forums ect). It is free to signup, all you need is an email address so there is absolutley no excuse for sellers to say they won't accept it.

I have only been screwed over once through ebay but got all my money back through paypal with a couple of emails.

Good luck - as from pervious internet forum lynchings around the world:
1) You have his address...
2) Post up his phone numbers so we can all call him every 30 seconds at 3am...
3) Find out where he works (if he does) for more pressure to be added...
4) Post up his email addresses

ect. ect. Anyone remember Pirate 4*4 forum...

With the prices of scrap metal these days, you would probably be doing him a favour as people cam and pay you to take away old cars...... BUT I like your thinking, and if you are willing to part with $30-$50, organise a load of gravel or sand to be delivered to his driveway
