All honesty the only comments I've ever come across are from Holden fans that don't even drive them. Though I've been told recently (by a cousin who's had 2 SS's, always stirred me and never walked with a jink), never to buy a SS or Holden for that matter.

Two different SS's in 3 years, and not traded for the desire of a newer model.

"jink" - is this a NSW thing? A clunk in their diff is more likely than a "jink" in their step.

It's an odd thing this thread.

I'm not a holden fan. Cut me I bleed blue. My boss, a funny bastard and a Holden fan organizes me a company car, as we have an association with a Holden dealership its an SSV. It's a very loud overt car, in love it or hate it bright Purple. I hate it. The colour I mean. All the GMH lovers think this thing is sex on wheels,

The thing is after years of Black/Grey/Dark blue fords. You do get stares. The young folk look in wonder thumbs up and all that. Everyone else just wonders. Its not a bad car. It is in fact a good car. But I would rather my TS50. I know I'm biased but the TS steers better, stops better and feels more refined. The SSV has it's 50kw advantage and it shows (just) and wins in some 2007 type areas I-pod connector 700 air bags, has the date on the clock (why?). I just think its cheap to run. I wish it was Black.

If you see me at a servo it not a "jink". I'm just embarrassed and want my grey Ford back.

Not a servo incident but i met this bloke at a friends house and he just bought himself a vx clubsport r8 (which if i was to have a commodore that would be high on the list) so i was a bit tipsy (screaming drunk) and he was telling me all about how good it was. I decided to humour him with his rantings until he said i'll take you for a spin! So i jump in, yeah pretty nifty i thought...then i spot the drink holder! I spent the next 10 minutes in utter awe of this thing whilst old mate was trying his best to impress me with his driving skills lol

Now if ford made drink holders like that i would be a happy man..seriously the thing was magic, it sit in the dash vertically, press the button and it drops out then turns over to horizontal and theres your drink holder!!

Amazing stuff.......

You aren't the only one who is amazed by the engineering marvel that is the Holden Drink Holder (TM). Great idea, gets the drinks right out of the way.

Unlike the AU or even BA for that matter, where one expected to change gears whilst a bloody drink is getting caught up in your forearms.

Worst design ever.

bloody jinkers?! get with the times! i get out of my car every day and do a nice old Jig, just like the black guy in Gangs of New York

you know what you should do next time you pull up at a servo? after filling up, slowly walk over to the window weedgy wiper thingo, then bend over as far as you can go over the hood and then slowly wipe down the windscreen and pout. im sure it would confuse, trip them over and thats the end of their Jink.

I think a SS driver would be offended if you bought them anything for christmas. They would say, Ive got an SS, it doesnt get better than that.

Then they would turn around and walk away with the jink. :

and the funny thing about this is when they yell it out, it sounds like the pimply drive thru krusty burger dude with his broken voice. "sorry sir Im gonna have to speak to my manager"

I had an AU jinker approach me yesterday in the carpark and trapped me near my boot whilst telling me why his XR8 was better than mine. Didn't know the bloke. He wouldn't go away. The only thought in my mind was ****er.

Should have told him yours was a fully SS with XR8 Badges to fool asshats like him into racing for slips bro. Then kickboxed his face in.

Hey why the violence? SS drivers are usually weedy lookin, dont put up much of a fight. AU drivers are ok, they just want to argue about windsor v8s vs BOSS. As soon as one approaches, just say hey look, we are on the same side here, go and tell an SS driver about piston slap.

they will charge off on a mission...
